New ninja thread!!

Becca19962014 · 01/10/2018 22:09

The other one expired and it doesn't look like anyone else has created one! So I get another barn and leslie didn't steal my victory like last time!!!

I guess technically, technically MN won the last one. However, this is MY barn.

Rules:

Feed the ninja owl(s) in the rafters, cake only. Especially me. I get hungry and cannot eat anything other than cake and no yukky healthy stuff in cake.

No discussion at all about yukky healthy food.

Um..

Did I mention I like cake???

We talk about anything and everything, except obviously healthy food.

It's not advisable to try and win the thread and mention another is about to expire because some people use it to cheat.....

She's a 'character' leslie Grin

I don't mind them mog, sometimes they freak me out a bit. That sounded like a peaceful day, hope you enjoyed your chill.

I'm surprised wombat, no honour among furry little mammals? Grin

NK Shock you're comparing lovely cute wombats to smelly vicious ferrets?

FuzzyCustard · 21/01/2019 19:10

I like ferrets.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 21/01/2019 21:04

I like ferrets. But wouldn't want one as a pet.

Yesterday they brought cream cakes, but the cream makes me cough Sad so those are up for grabs if anyone wants them Cake

No visitors today thankfully as we are having our kitchen redone! Obviously when we booked it we weren't expecting me to be on my deathbed Hmm but it's a good distraction in a way. And at least hopefully I'll get to see the results of all my months of planning.

Becca19962014 · 21/01/2019 23:20

I've no idea what's going on with me at the moment. I feel really unwell and my blood sugars are a mess, going really low and hard to get up and then suddenly spiking high really had enough.

NKFell · 22/01/2019 00:54

My Dad uses them to catch rats, they can be vicious little things...I don’t mind them but they do smell awful and well, just no, no way!

You need a revolving door leslie! What colour are the units? (Being the nosey git I am!)

That’s rebound hyperglycaemia in my world becca - when I get stuck like that I monitor super carefully then adjust my insulin/food and it sorts out. I’m not sure what you should do with you not injecting so I would say to ask a doc or at the least a pharmacist.

I'm seeing a gp this morning nk. Im no longer able to distinguish between BG issues and anxiety and it's frankly doing my head in, the other problem I have is the EDS issues as they're effected too.

I think it's because it's cold and the ready meal I had just wasn't enough food but I don't know as I've been having issues for quite a long time. I've been trying to eat something between meals which seemed to sort it out.

Everything else seems to effect my BG is the problem.

I think last night I didn't eat the right thing to correct it in the first place. My instinct is to keep it small so I didn't have the fruit straight away. Next time I'll have the fruit straight away!

I have rotten and constant hip pain at the moment. Tramadol prescribed (but nervous about taking it) and X ray on the way. Hence I am tired and grumpy and no kind of company. Grrr....

Bring on the ferrets.

wombattoo · 22/01/2019 17:02

Custard That sounds awful. I have taken tramadol in the past and got on with it ok, although I only took it for a couple of weeks. Get well soon Thanks

Becca19962014 · 22/01/2019 17:28

Oi fuzzy ....

Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone!!!!!

OP posts:
Becca19962014 · 22/01/2019 17:29

Tramadol can be wonderful, so I've heard. I'm allergic to it! All you can do is take it and be aware it can have nasty side effects and have the ability to get help if you need it.

I know I should take my own advice...

Thank you lovelies.
Medical stuff just backing up in me at the mo....hoping for news on possible auto immune condition this week too. I am falling to bits!

Binglebong · 22/01/2019 19:02

One of my dogs was on tramadol. He had an awful back and got back to literally bouncing for another six months due to it. Will be forever grateful to that vet for going off label.

FuzzyCustard · 22/01/2019 19:04

Ah Bingle If only I could bounce for 6 months! I had no idea they gave it to dogs!

wombattoo · 22/01/2019 19:36

Bingle I wish it made me bounce Grin

mogloveseggs · 23/01/2019 13:25

Ooh tell us about the new kitchen leslie
Boiler won't light. I'm freezing.
Bloody thing.

NKFell · 23/01/2019 13:51

What I wouldn't give to watch wombat and fuzzy bounce Grin Grin

I've never had to have tramadol (thankfully) but I hear good things!

I have suffered a dodgy boiler in winter mog and there is no good thing about it. I then had to get a new boiler and then when I had an extension done, the bloody boiler hot water tank wasn't big enough to heat it.

What did the doc say becca? I know with me when I start getting rebounds it's nearly always my own fault!

I sat in my sitting room last night....and watched TELEVISION!

Becca19962014 · 23/01/2019 14:16

They said "hello, im a student and have only just started working here and need to begin practical learning" and they had no clue about anything at all and expected me to let them do full exams and then I was to be allowed to see a GP. I lost my temper (already very frayed) and said no, GP now. I'd waited ages.

They told me I wasn't eating enough and to stop metformin and see my GP next week as its all rather complicated and hypos were really dangerous especially as I live alone and have other needs but they don't really know...

My face issues might be a virus. Being ill doesn't effect blood sugars.
The uti should go away on its own or I can pop back, again it can't be effecting my blood sugars.

To sum up : useless.

Cake becca sorry your visit to the docs was unhelpful
nk I've got it going now dont dare turn it off Grin they're a nightmare aren't they boilers.
I could do with some bounce today am tired.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 23/01/2019 17:06

Sorry you thought it was useless. Are you going to trt their suggestions?

Becca19962014 · 23/01/2019 17:11

The suggestions aren't really safe. If I eat more I run the risk of it going very high and then very low again, especially if I stop metformin I run the risk of hypo being very dangerous. I'm not stopping metformin but am trying to eat more though it's easier said than done when struggling financially.
