The other one expired and it doesn't look like anyone else has created one! So I get another barn and leslie didn't steal my victory like last time!!!

I guess technically, technically MN won the last one. However, this is MY barn.

Rules:

Feed the ninja owl(s) in the rafters, cake only. Especially me. I get hungry and cannot eat anything other than cake and no yukky healthy stuff in cake.

No discussion at all about yukky healthy food.

Did I mention I like cake???

We talk about anything and everything, except obviously healthy food.

It's not advisable to try and win the thread and mention another is about to expire because some people use it to cheat.....

Very cute NK is he a pirate? I hope your food is ready soon so you don't waste away! we were one of those families - we had no TV when I was little I think I've turned out quite normal though.

We are having spiced root vegetable soup soon. I'm looking forward to it :) I don't have much appetite anymore. It's a shame Becca doesn't like savoury food as she could eat up all my leftovers!

The soup was lovely. My mum put lots of cumin in. I love cumin. Sometimes she does these delicious baked carrots with cumin. I'm going to stop saying cumin now

wombat definitely making the most of the telly. I have it on pretty much as soon as I wake up until I go to sleep at the moment. I don't like to be alone with my thoughts!

Was that a takeaway or did you make it? I've never had any luck making curry. It always ends up watery and a weird colour.

My mum made lemon drizzle cake yesterday. Hers is officially the best in the world :) help yourselves to a slice.

You really love the cumin, does she normally use so much cumin. I quite like cumin I could just eat a slice of lemon drizzle.

wombat my attempt at low carb was so bad it was funny...speaking of the which, I made a roasted veg lasagne.

Think theyre called that as an alternative to chicken/buffalo wings but being veggie im not sure.

Im really good generally at low carb and carb balancing and low/no sugar. Happy to share tips if you're finding anything tough. Do you have a reason for trying low carb.

Very late to the food chat but I've just had beans cheese and friend eggs on toast-bloody lovely

mog I love fried eggs on toast, second only to a meal of fried eggs, ham and chips. Yum.

Cheshire I'm not just trying low carb, I have eaten that way for about 5 years but failed for the last several few months. I've been eating rubbish and have gained a stone in weight. Thanks for the offer of tips

NK I think it is generally accepted that high fat, low carb is more difficult for non meat eaters (I know you're not veggie but you seems to eat veggie meals)

Leslie I also love lemon drizzle cake and it would be rude not to try your mums, as hers is the best in the world

I finished one scarf. Two more to go. The second one will be easier though as it's a simple pattern.

I've been really sleepy most of the day. I've perked up now. It's a shame though as we had guests and I spent most of their visit dozing. It was nice hearing them all chat, even though I couldn't join in :)
