No it’s an independent, it’s ok the place we booked was cheaper so we ‘saved’ I guess

I know, I know. Hope you're feeling better today and your DH realized what a hero you are. It's just one of those things isn't it, but it makes my blood boil that there were plenty of adult live ones even after Tripadvisor reviews. They knew! Just didn't give a shit. Didn't fumigate rooms, carpets, mattresses and bed frames regularly, didn't wash bedlinen & pillows properly.
And at least you have probably saved yourself potentially thousands of pounds by working it all out and not bringing the vermin into your home. Cheers to that!
(Yes I know far too much about bed bugs and their life cycle than any layperson should. )
