I don't think I do. All that bumf about electricity and nuclear things and other stuff that is invisible. I simply don't think it exists and is just made up.

Thanks Martorana! I thought the only evil spirit in my house was of the nasty flavoured vodka variety! Do I need to pour the water over my computer to sanctify it?

AtYourCervix · 11/03/2014 15:19

Whp is Eddie and what is he doing in the space time continuum?

what flavour voddie have you got Grin

Oh how I'd love to make skittle vodka - I'd have it with loads of ice and as splash of tonic !

squishysquirmy · 11/03/2014 15:58

Green tea flavour (i'v had it a while). It's drinkable with lemonade...

alcibiades · 11/03/2014 17:55

So, what's that Large Hardon Collider all about, eh?

AtYourCervix · 11/03/2014 18:26

Summut to do with colliding large hadrons.

Not sure what a hadron is though. Whether small or large.

It was a speeling joak.

Anyway, I've got to get to grips with physics because I've got a 3-hour DVD by the delectable Prof Brian Greene to watch, all about the theory of string.

LollipopViolet · 11/03/2014 19:15

I've seen electrickery - it shoots out of the sky sometimes when it's raining Grin

Wait, this thread is in Science Club now? Oh no, I'm no good at science...

Amrapaali · 11/03/2014 20:29

Who is Prof.Brian Greene? Is he as delectable as Brian cox? Will there be a hardon is his vicinity? Grin

alcibiades · 11/03/2014 20:48

Here's a pic of the delectable Prof Greene.

Who reminds me somewhat of Fox Mulder.

I bet that is awesome, chilled with lemonade ice and mint leaves....

Hang on have I just ripped off a mojito?

AtYourCervix · 12/03/2014 01:55

OK. I got a wee physics lesson today. Was at the park with a friend, her DS and another friend.

This other friend thought it would be funny to spin me around very, very fast on the roundabout when I was facing outwards (not holding LO, btw)

The faster he spun, the more I felt like I was falling forwards. Witchcraft I tells ya! Grin

alcibiades · 12/03/2014 21:30

AtYourCervix - I can say, having done some in-depth research google that the answer is "no". With scientific precision, which is rather satisfying as I'm not sure I've ever been so scientifically precise.

Lollipop - I fear you're venturing into the debate about whether centrifugal force actually exists. All I can say is that if I were being spun around on a roundabout, the only science question I could think of was how far I'd spew.

I was trying to do some physics learning a little earlier, and got as far as the equation that had something to do with freefall; saw the bit about 1.5 gt ^2, and read it as half a double g&t, so gave up, and opened a bottle of wine.
