Here's our tree, total mishmash, no style, all baubles welcome

The Cars bauble is Very Important to DD1 and is metal so she can play with it.

We did ours this morning, bought new decorations this year so was itching to get them up.
We have a pre-lit tree and the lights are pretty good on it but they don't show up well with the flash on the camera. Just need some presents under it now!

Okay, I might not be able to hold off getting a tree much longer, even though DD will bulldoze it within seconds as soon as it's up, bless her.

I think they were from Amazon. Dh is mushroom mad is they seemed appropriate.

We won't put our tree up yet (has to be real, otherwise the sky will fall it won't last). But tonight we lit our first advent candle on our wreath - I'd forgotten to get nice white new ones so we'll have to suffer the old ones till I can get to the shop.

We read a bit of the Christmas story, some bits out of a beautiful storybook about advent and prayers from the Northumbria Community, we've done it ever since dd1 was little 13 years ago. The children help with the reading now and we use a proper bible not their kiddy ones, but it's one of our favourite Christmas traditions that has grown up with our family.

Lovely! We forgot to light our advent candle yesterday, so we'll do it this evening. The girls wont care that it's a day late [tchgrin]

i havent put mine up yet, however, i have pics of the last 2 years trees.

My fireplace and fibre optic tree and (tilting) tree I think this will be it's last year. It's on it's last legs!
