Here's our tree, total mishmash, no style, all baubles welcome Grin

The Cars bauble is Very Important to DD1 and is metal so she can play with it.

We've had 4 bauble casualties already this morning... Tree will probably be bald by Christmas Day!

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 01/12/2013 10:56

Chinley, vair classy [tchgrin]

It's not too early, it's the first advent today.

And besides which, we're off to other places for Christmas so we are getting our money's worth

Porky - it was November yesterday!

My sis put hers up yesterday too. I've told her she's a nutter as well. Then I tried to ring her but no answer. So I texted to ask if she was out buying Easter Eggs.

I'm doing my advent candles today. And going to buy new outside lights. But won't start trees till next weekend at the earliest.

But you guys go for it. They do look lovely. I would just be sick of it by Xmas. Owe never out the tree up at home till a week before when I was growing up and I liked that. One year it was Xmas eve as dad had been working so much he wasn't around to get up into the attic to get th stuff down. Didn't like that so much.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 01/12/2013 11:09

We're in a different timezone. It was 5 mins off December for us. And we like to do it once the girls are in bed so they wake up to it.

I'm doing mine tonight! Been untangling the lights all morning and giving the baubles a bit of a wipe down. Just need to buy a bumper pack of batteries for the all singing dancing snowmen and stuff.

Some of the trees on here are lovely.

I am beyond excited about christmas 24 sleeps to go!!!!

[tchgrin]

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 01/12/2013 11:18

Chicksy - Love it. I really like your silver bucket, too. Is it a growing tree?

Beyond - cute tree monsters [tchgrin] lovely baubles!

Thank psammead it's not, I found the galvanised bin at the bottom of the garden Blush it's amazing what you find lying around when you realise you have no stand!

Will try and take a better photo soon, it doesn't look as dec laden as it actually is. My neighbour was Dutch when I was little and always had the best tree with real candles and wheat, wooden and material decorations I was obsessed, so it's a big influence.

HarkTEEHeraldAngelsSing · 01/12/2013 11:27

Here we go! A picture of a tree...and my son..

Thanks PSammy.

I'm very proud of both of them!

He's 4 and has SNs and this is really the first year he's excited about Christmas. He was vaguely aware last year but this year he's been asking how many sleeps for at least a month. [tchgrin]

CiderwithBuda · 01/12/2013 11:34

Tee - have you seen the "how many sleeps to Xmas" app? I have it on my phone. It's cute.

HarkTEEHeraldAngelsSing · 01/12/2013 11:37

Cinder we have been using it since the middle of October, I swear! [tchgrin]

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 01/12/2013 11:43

Tee, he looks about ready to burst with excitement!
