If you haven't heard of the Frothers, let me introduce you to them.

We are a bunch of MNetters who are protesting against the cuts. We are not (all) lentil weaving, Guardian totting, Birkenstock wearing Lefties. There are some Lib Dem voters and even some Tories among our ranks.

If you are cross and the cuts and willing to write a blog post about the way in which these cuts will affect your life, please pop over to the Frothers blog and have a look.

Frothers

We are planning a 12 Days Of Xmas blog theme in the days after Xmas and need a blog post for every day until 12th night.

Interested? Sign in here and post on the Frothers Thread if you need more info.

Thanks.

#frothers

thanks so much, everyone x

SenseofEntitlement · 26/12/2011 18:39

Did you get my post?

MmeReindor · 26/12/2011 19:26

SEO
There are three posts from you on the blog, are those the ones that you mean?

Does anyone have somethign for tomorrow?

Two Colly Birds - the coalition?

MmeReindor · 26/12/2011 19:27

oh, ignore me

2 turtle doves.

MmeReindor · 26/12/2011 20:41

I have written (or am writing) a post about the coalition in case no one has time tomorrow.

If someone wants to write something better, go ahead. Mine is more of a "just in case" post.

Am half cut on red wine so might not make sense anyway.

:o

yummymummyreally · 26/12/2011 21:48

MmeR
Wine ...managed to get through far too much port and lemon these last 48 hours. Feel really nostalgic as haven't had that particular brew for years!......

So not sure I could be of much help for tomorrows post.. ...other than with some good slurry encouragement!

...but are there any other later days you are missing?

Thanks for adding that brilliant piece of context to connect day 1's little scene with the opposition focus. Writing to a particular subject is quite a challenge when you're used to just writing what you fancy on a personal blog! A good challenge though. I enjoyed it! Xmas Grin

MmeLindor. · 26/12/2011 21:59

Yummy
ooh, nostalgic drinking is good. Might have to have a Baileys so I can puke and feel better

It is the fault of my darling husband for buying the yummy lamb, that had to be accompanied by red wine. And the French for making good wine and selling it cheap in the supermarket.

Yes, thought that the blog post worked well yesterday.

Am really off to bed now though.

I really like that draft day 2 MmeR! Nice love/lost message. Feeling very humble now if that's what you write in a half-cut state.

Goodness. My words don't seem to flow like that at all... I have to sit them next to each other, one at a time, and hope they don't fight!

SenseofEntitlement · 26/12/2011 23:06

I can't remember now what I put in, tbh, feel free to use anything, or I can have a look tomorrow. Am at my parents so I have limited internet access atm.

ScatCatShoo · 27/12/2011 05:52

Been reading all the posts. Really good work guys... I wish I had your eloquence, instead of just stewing away quietly.

FlamingoBingo · 27/12/2011 15:24

Help! How do I post my article? It's written (for 8 maids a milking). Do I need images?

garlicnutcracker · 27/12/2011 15:29

PM me your email address, Flamingo :)

Images are good, but not essential.
Thank you for writing a post.

SGM has written a post for the ladies dancing - on how the cuts affect women - will put it into drafts to tonight or tomorrow.

Maybe you could do the fuel poverty one, highlighting the way in which the poorest pay more for their utilities via meters and the introduction of the smart meters (is that what they are called?)

OP posts:
garlicnutcracker · 28/12/2011 01:15

Flamingo's doing Day 8, MmeL. I've put Mouseface's up for today (3). I can't research any more posts just now, I'm afraid - I have to re-apply for my own DLA and ESA, amongst other things.

The smart meter thing is complicated and I need to get to grips with organising all the info we have on them. (And trying to persuade British Gas to put me on quarterly billing ... )

I am so fucked off, it's hard not to feel suicidal. Worst of all, I reckon Dave's hoping we'll all get rid of ourselves sooner than later.

Is SGM's post for tomorrow?

MmeLindor. · 28/12/2011 07:23

Sgm is doing 8 ladies dancing so that is the end of te month. She has also offered to do the fuel one - sorry, were you going to do that? I got muddled. Am checking quickly on iPhone ATM. Will get on pc later today and get things organised properly.

OP posts:
MmeLindor. · 28/12/2011 07:24

Sorry, Sgm is day 9

On The 4th Day of Xmas My True Love Gave to Me...

4 Grades of Unemployment

Officially unemployed
WRA
Economically Inactive
Part-time but looking for full time

I can slightly alter SEO's post to fit in with this, taking out a bit of the ESA bit and adding more about the misrepresentation of unemployment stats.

Hah, good plan :) Scroungers not exactly scrounging. Also workfare: not employed nor yet unemployed? Might be too complicated ...

... brain has rebelled. Glad yours in firing on all cylinders! Thank you, MmeL.

garlicnutcracker · 28/12/2011 20:43

Eeuw, SGM :( How dead do you have to be before you qualify?
