Oh God I wasn't being sneery at all. I genuinely always wondered what you were talking about (whilst secretly liking your rather cryptic titles) and couldn't fathom it in the slightest from your threads.

I honestly was interested.

I really like RA in all honesty. I rewatch North and South an awful lot. The drip comment was tongue in cheek (he's clearly not a drip, Robin Hood was the drip ).

In that case, SOH, you are very welcome. Drop in whenever you feel like it. The idea is we pretend to be serious academics discussing abstruse research topics and use big long words when we are really just swooning over photos and You Tube vids of RA.

Though we do discuss other topics that interest us, as and when .

And I just happened to notice that she had been on the receiving end of a few 'off' comments for having the temerity to diss the wonderful RA.

Nobody was bothered by that at all. I couldn't care less what anybody else thinks of him! No, it was the dissing us that irritated me. I would never dream of going onto another group's thread and implying that we were worth laughing at, or saying that we were all mad.

Having said that, Hands, if I misunderstood your "spilling your madness" comment then I am genuinely sorry and you would be more than welcome - we're always delighted to welcome new members! Perhaps you meant it in a teasing "hey, you guys are ker-razy!" rather than anything else. As for David Mitchell, I saw him at Waterloo Bridge once. I love him in a 'how clever he is' sort of way, not in any other way :)

And in Any Other Business - sorry to hear some of the Academics are feeling poorly. Small, I LOL'd at your "Ben 10 exhibition" :)

SOH you are most welcome any time in that case, sometimes the written word can be misconstrued. . The reality is that this thread just lightens a dull day with pretty pictures (I do try and sneak in people other than RA too, we could even do a David Mitchell one for you at a push ) and nice people.
