... how long could you survive with what you have in your house right now?

Do you have any tins/bottled water etc put away in case of a emergency?

Have been frealing myself out reading some wacky conspiray sites (all baging on about something huge happeneing in the next 2 weeks) - Im not be;lieveing it, but it has made me think that one day there could be an event and I probably would only last a week with my store cupboard!

Where are you headed on your bus? I'm about three days drive from the UK, super well prepared (or neighbours are) and you're all welcome Grin

Thingumy · 04/11/2010 21:22

yeah she could could write the 'DOOMSday book'

arf arf

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:23

Hmm. Hadn't given much thought to the destination. Which direction, Thanksamillion?

Tee2072 · 04/11/2010 21:24

LOL thingumy!

That's mighty nice of you. Of course, I'm in Belfast...can that thing swim?

SarahStrattonsSparkler · 04/11/2010 21:25

Hee hee hee

Do we have people who know how to grow stuff yet?

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:25

I do!

MrsChemist · 04/11/2010 21:25

Tee, you and your DH could combine skills and make a training exercise game, so we could practice looting and zombie killing from the safety and comfort of the bus.

thanksamillion · 04/11/2010 21:26

East. But you'd have to commandeer a ferry to get to mainland Europe first. But that's no problem right?? What ferry operator would stand in the way of an armoured bus of MNers

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:27

So sea-journey needed for both Tee and Thanksamillion. Can I remind everyone about my oar?

Thingumy · 04/11/2010 21:27

ooh ohh *HAND UP

I can grow things...

Butternut squash,onions,garlic,tomatoes,cabbages,Cannabis?

thanksamillion · 04/11/2010 21:27

If you come here no need to grow own stuff. All neighbours are self-sufficient and very generous, plus have bargining power of one of few cars.

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:27

Thingumy - I can grow Jerusalem artichokes so well that I have been digging them out of the flower beds for the last 3 years. Can't get rid of the damn things.

BudaisintheZONE · 04/11/2010 21:28

You are all butters! I am crying with laughter here!

Special mention to kungfu for suggesting riven and the blue badges for parking at Asda and to kungfu's sensible DH! I think I'll take my chances with the zombies too!

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:28

Thanksamillion - there is no chance that you live in Latvia is there? I can say "I only speak a little Latvian and my grammar is rubbish but what can you do" in latvian. Another useful skill....

thanksamillion · 04/11/2010 21:29

Maybe there's another bus that is also amphibious? (can't look at link as family filter is blocking it and I can't remember the password to turn it off)

MrsChemist · 04/11/2010 21:29

I can grow stuff! I grew many potatoes this year

Thingumy · 04/11/2010 21:29

kungfu-never get sick of them, they are gorgeous roasted.

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:30

Yes well, Buda, you won't be laughing when the zombies eat your face!

Tee2072 · 04/11/2010 21:31

whew Thanks Mrsc for finding something useful for us to do!

I'm off to bed now as previously mentioned nearly 17 month old thinks 3am is a good wake up hour.

So that's another skill; operating on little sleep for weeks at a time!

vintageteacups · 04/11/2010 21:31

If ever there was a good time to convert to a mooncup.......

MrsChemist · 04/11/2010 21:31

It's not an amphibious bus, but it's the next best thing Luxury submarine!

thanksamillion · 04/11/2010 21:31

Not Latvia - Moldova so your Latvian probably won't help. But if you met any Lativan speaking Zombies on the way it might help

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:32

Ooh, nice! Do we think it has the ability to monitor the radiowaves for the crucial radio 4 broadcast?

thanksamillion · 04/11/2010 21:34

OK need to go to bed now as 2 hours ahead of you. Will check back in the morning to see if I need to get extra beds made up ready Smile

TandB · 04/11/2010 21:36

I think it is supposed to the 14th, isn't it? I am also going to get some sleep ahead of the intensive planning needed to pull of Operation Mumbus.
