How many people does one cooked chicken feed, and how big are your salads. We need to know if you get the vibe.

Q1. A hundred and ninety as any fule kno.

Q2. The OP doesn't like salad.

I suppose it's theoretically possible to be less interesting 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

PatThePenguin · 22/11/2025 22:29

No, it's the whole point.

"I'm a Nanny - AMA"

"I'm a Psychiatrist - AMA"

Ah, okay! In that case, I volunteer in the educational space - AMA.

You'll have to start another thread if you're changing the goalposts.

Doesn't like salad? MN is not prepared for this outcome.

You'll have to start another thread if you're changing the goalposts.

I'm sure someone will end up having a problem with that as well... 🙄

I mean, if I started an AMA saying

"I'm a classically trained opera singer AMA"

it would be complicated and confusing if I changed it to

"I'm not a classically trained opera singer AMA"

when I got halfway through the thread.

That, I'm afraid, is highly likely.

Well, welcome to MN I guess...where no lighthearted thread goes unpunished.

That's quite different. One statement is clearly a lie. I've simply expanded on my experiences/about myself so far. I'm not seeing an issue. Is it always like this on Mumsnet?

Chorus....YEESSSSS

Quite frequently I'm afraid 🤣

Apparently so...

Why is it so difficult to be simply nice to each other? 😞

There a plenty of nice people on Mumsnet.

My advice is to go and mingle with them on some threads, rather than starting your own as soon as you join up.

That way you can see how the land lies so to speak.

Not on the cat threads though.
They're fab.

What are your thoughts on elderly Korean ladies staying in your Mexican holiday home and leaving their penis beakers on your bedside tables?

LaMarschallin · 22/11/2025 22:49

What are you expecting from your thread, @5hy133n ?

Behave @LaMarschallin that's the sort of thing you only ask seasoned posters.

Sorry OP. The gentle teasing on this thread is a mere bagatelle compared with posting on AIBU or anything.to do with politics.
As @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne said though - the cat threads are all sweetness and light.
can't speak for the dog threads though

SilverPink · 22/11/2025 22:54

You sound very nice, but I don’t think you’ll find many GCSE and A Level students here to help. Average age is probably about 45.

PuppyMonkey · 22/11/2025 22:54

Oh dear. Cringing for you, OP.

I expected fun, light-hearted questions. I got some... but clearly light-heartedness isn't the AMA section's strongest quality. 😂

My bad!
