Right, when I looked, for the whole of Israel it's not recommended? Perhaps it's been recently updated because of the ceasefire.

Because it seems to me to have a bold header upfront that says: "FCDO advises against all travel to parts of Israel."
Sure it goes on to get into more specific detail below, but I'm kinda basic in that I take the headline with the exclamation point to be the main takeaway message.

The key words you’re missing when reading the bold headline is “parts of”.

Yes, you're reading it wrong. The parts that they say not to travel to does not include Jerusalem.
