With great trepidation especially as I'll be quite identifiable, but: I grew up in the uber-secretive 2x2 cult in the US. Think long dresses and uncut hair for women, no makeup or piercings, "meetings" in homes a bare minimum of twice a week but often with "gospel meetings" on top of that. Oh, and a shitload of child sexual abuse by pedo preachers and elders and men brought in from prison for CSA, I'm not even joking. Obviously everyone else was going to hell except us...

Yeah, that was a rather huge surprise @CultTimes , to see on the front page of the BBC! Amazing.

What is really upsetting is how long victims like Michael have been shouting their experiences from the rooftop and nothing has happened. Literally nothing. Robert Corfield is still financially supported by the Friends, living in a Montana city. He still has the support of many. The sooner he and his overseer Scott are behind bars, the better. Kids are not safe in the 2x2s and I wish the BBC article would have highlighted that this group is also still operating throughout the UK and male workers are still living in the homes of vulnerable children. Police, schools, and social workers need to know that if kids or vulnerable adults are in the 2x2s, they are at risk.

You might have seen this already, the FBI have an international investigation into the 2x2s and are calling for reports of abuse and crimes (even if already reported to police).

I'm sharing and encouraging everyone to report every abuse and crimes suffered, even if the abuser is dead now etc. You can report from anywhere in the world.
