On reflection now as an adult, I can hand on heart say I feel awful for ever thinking those things.

I was a bit younger so I didn't feel any sympathy for them - I remember my mother saying the men "dating" these girls should be arrested (even at the time it really wasn't acceptable) but I just thought the girls were skanky and rough. I couldn't see how young they were until I got older.

We used to get the full colour TODAY newspaper delivered every morning, which was full of this stuff. I was a teen at the time and was avidly interested in those girls’ shenanigans.

I don't know who Emma Ridley is but I remember Mandy Smith well. She always struck me as being a really sweet person. Wasn't she very unwell for a long time, not long after she married Bill Wyman? I remember her releasing a single and performing it onstage on an Irish pop show. I remember her featuring in Hello magazine quite a lot too, always thought she was beautiful and glamourous. Age has made me see it all through different eyes of course, all very sordid, she's a victim. Haven't seen anything of her in a long time, I hope she has a happy life.

I met Mandy Smith once, she was out in a nightclub with her sister.
She must have been 14/15 at the time, I was probably 20/21. She was very sweet, a little shy. It was talked about her relationship with an older man, I am not sure I know who it was at the time. Her sister kind of flaunted her to be honest, I can't remember if her mum was there or not but it was clear her mum was aware of the relationship. Personally I think they used her a bit to get into clubs and attract men. I remember her being quite sweet.

I'm the same age as Mandy Smith and at the time didn't think much of it but now it's horrifying to think that this was allowed. She was 13! Bill Wyman has Daughter's & I wonder how he would feel if his then 13 year old stared a relationship with a 50 year old man!
He should have been prosecuted.
