I had a breast reduction two weeks ago. I’ve gone from a 34GG/H to a 34D.

Much better this morning, thank you for the support everyone!
Apparently no one booked the breast care nurse so the nurse discharging me is looking for a bra. Not impressed. No one has told me what to do with the drains when I get home yet either….where do I put them when I’m not in a single bed?
Pain is minimal at the moment although but ouchy when I’m on the move.

That sounds very poor! But at least you are feeling better. When I was in hospital they out the drains in a tote bag so that I could carry it and move around, also meant I could tuck them out of sight to one side when in bed, we might have had different types of drain but just a thought.

Yeah I will put them in a bag at home. My total removed weight was
1.5 kg!!!
Explains why I feel light 😂 and explains why I desperately needed to do this.
I have bra, all good. Off home soon for a much needed nap.

Oh wow .. that is a weight off! Glad you are feeling better. My drains went into huge bottles and the nurse carried them for me so I could have a wee ..lols ... but they came out before I left. When do they take them out for you?

I think it’s interesting how, at the beginning of the thread nobody had drains, and now drains seem to be more prevalent.

My doctor said he said that he would see how “oozy” I was 😳

every so often at the gym, I lift a weight commensurate with the amount I lost off my tits and I still can’t get my head around it

How are you @Heartfullofcheese ? Hope you are feeling more comfy at home. I feel so much better today, have been out for a walk, and am off the pain killers ... at least for now. Every day is different so am being super careful/ taking baby steps. I have my wound check/ dressing change tomorrow so will report back.

@Singletrackmind do you keep having a surprise when you look down, or see yourself in a mirror?
I took ages to summon up the bravery to look. Not that I didn’t like the results, but just processing it in my head.

@Madagascary yes, it's kinda mental!!!! I'm by no means tiny, although I guess when the swelling drops they will be smaller... but it's the position which is just so novel😁I have no memory at all of ever having boobs at this level 😂I actually feel taller walking and my bloke says my back looks straighter cause I'm not hunched by the weight of my boobs or doing that 'folding in on ourselves' thing that us big chested women always do to try and hide the size of them. I've peeked and obv it's all a bit car crash at the moment 😬so I'm just taking it all one step at a time.

I feel ok. Tired and achy but I’m surprised by how it’s not agonising after all that work.
I cannot imagine going for a walk yet @Singletrackmind but pottering round the house happily enough. Apparently day 3 is the kicker so I’m expecting to feel a bit crap tomorrow.

The difference in weight is surprising. Yet also not. You don’t realise you are carting round all that extra on your front then whoosh, it’s gone.
I do see the potential for it to be life changing.

@Heartfullofcheese ah that is good to hear, so pleased to hear that you are ... honestly I couldn't have walked anywhere before today, and pottering is perfect!

I woke up in pain today on the right side and think I must have rolled over in my sleep so that was annoying. Have washed my hair though and been on a lovely walk for coffee out. I’m not mentally there with mine yet, I’m really glad I don’t have my massive baps but not sure I have enough left, hoping they “fluff up” a bit. I get my dressings changed tomorrow too @Singletrackmind and will be braving the tube. Glad you’re feeling better @Heartfullofcheese

@Martinisarebetterdirty how did you wash your hair? I can’t even brush mine without help yet 😂
Maybe when you see them without dressings you’ll get a better idea of what’s left too.

@Heartfullofcheese I think I’ve been really lucky, my surgeon uses dissolvable stitches and then apart from my nipples my boobs are covered in a pink tape holding them together, and I was told fine to lift my arms up as long as I don’t do too much (not allowed to dry my hair) and it doesn’t feel to pull. Not looking forward to all this tape being taken off tomorrow! 😂

I never got why this was hard. About day 4. Shower thing over a bath.

Oh god my hair though 😱… I think today I could have done the shower in bath thing but was told not to get anything wet and figured fuck it, one more day with skanky hair really won’t matter 😂😂

Like @Martinisarebetterdirty mine seem to be held together entirely by pink tape … also not looking forward to them peeling it off 😬
