Are you religious?

hhsa · 16/03/2021 14:45

What's religion got to do with it? I've got 4 kids.

OppsUpsSide · 16/03/2021 14:51

I have 4 children, also not religious.

Ragwort · 16/03/2021 14:52

What made you decide to have four children?

Do you really believe you have enough time and energy to support them all individually?

piglet81 · 16/03/2021 14:55

How do you do it? I feel quite drained by the emotional needs and practical logistics of having one child. Do you work? Do you have practical or financial support from relatives?

MondeoFan · 16/03/2021 14:56

Can you comfortably afford it? Are your children going without anything?

HiScore · 16/03/2021 15:00

What are your age gaps and which jump in number of children was the easiest/hardest?

Lionessloudmouth · 16/03/2021 15:00

Are you religious? Nope

Sorry to butt in but I have 4 dc’s too OP - and I knew the first question would be “are you religious”?Grin I’ve been asked that (in a “jokey” way) so many times. The other comment we used to get is ”don’t you have a tv?”
I find it hilarious that so many people think it must be because of religion!
We just loved our dc’s so much and got so much pleasure from having them that we wanted more than one or two. I don’t get how people can have a child and then not understand people who want more? My kids are amazing and I love the banter they all have with one another. They never get bored!

SavingsQuestions · 16/03/2021 15:04

Religious/ high income (over 60k?)/ low income?!
(only following rom that thread... grin)

onlychildandhamster · 16/03/2021 15:12

@Loopyloututu2 my dh is 1 of 4 and his mum is religious. i guess the people i know with 4 or more are all religious- catholic/jewish? 4 children is a small family in some communities.

NutellaEllaElla · 16/03/2021 15:17

Why 4?

Margotshypotheticaldog · 16/03/2021 15:20

Have you ever secretly regretted having 4? Even for a fleeting moment? Also, do all of your children get an equal amount of time and attention from you?

stairway · 16/03/2021 15:20

How much harder is 4 compared with 3. No 4 due imminently with me. Also do you now feel complete or is the urge for more still there?

NutellaEllaElla · 16/03/2021 15:24

Do you have interests/hobbies/activities outside of your children?

Itsjustaride8w737 · 16/03/2021 15:26

Do they have the same father?

What's your annual household income?

merrygoround88 · 16/03/2021 15:27

Why do you feel it’s comment worthy , do you feel being a mother of 4 is a special achievement ?

I am listening to this podcast and Lorraine candy (ex ST style editor) constantly refers to her 4 children like it should make her specially amazing

I don’t really get it

Easterbunnygettingready · 16/03/2021 15:31

"have you not got a TV?"
11 dc here..

Lionessloudmouth · 16/03/2021 15:34

What made you decide to have four children?

My DH is an only child and wanted a big family, I am estranged from mine, so wanted then to have each other. Also broodiness.

Do you really believe you have enough time and energy to support them all individually?

No, even though my DH is very hands on due to health problems I’ve developed and our last child being SEN.

I knew I was done at 4.

I don’t think its fair for me to comment as I developed health issues when DC4 was tiny, which 8 years later are still ongoing and he is SEN. Good luck with your new baby.
Oh and I never really have pangs for another barr a few seconds occasionally and then think nah!

BlondehairRedlips · 16/03/2021 15:41

I have 4... why have you done an AMA?

Lionessloudmouth · 16/03/2021 15:44

Have you ever secretly regretted having 4? Even for a fleeting moment? Also, do all of your children get an equal amount of time and attention from you?

Yes I do, goes without saying they are very loved and wanted though. In the next life Im having none or maximum 2! I think my son’s SEN is the main reason.

Nope, but then 2 are teenagers, one is 12 and my 8 year old needs alot of additional time.
