How do you feel about the massive increase in really tiny girls wearing hijab? I've recently seen girls sitting in pushchairs in hijabs, and a lot of the girls at primary school now wear them (and leggings and long sleeved tops under their school dresses). Has Islam in the UK become more conservative lately, if so, why?
Would you want your daughter to wear hijab, if you had / already have one?
What is your opinion on hijabi models (e.g for H&M) and hijabi entrants to beauty competitions?
Did you grow up wearing hijab, was it expected of you or did you choose it yourself? A lot of hijabi AMA participants say they chose it despute opposition from family.
Do you perceive that men treat you differently to non-hijabi women? Do they for example, assume you won't shake their hand, etc.
I am assuming you wear a headscarf, what else do you do to dress modestly? I have one friend who wears hijab and dresses quite plainly, no make-up or fancy headscarf styles as she wants to not draw attention to herself but I have another friend who still covers up her hair but also takes a lot of pride in her appearance and dresses very stylishly.
Do you live somewhere where there's lots of other hijab-wearers?
Thank you for this ama
