Beurer Cosy Foot Warmer: our verdict

Feet are often the first parts of our bodies to feel the cold, and if you're looking to save money on your energy bills, sometimes even the best thermal socks won't cut it. This Cosy Foot Warmer from trusted brand Beurer is a corded single heated slipper big enough for both of your feet (up to a size 12.5), and it's great for warming even the iciest of toes.

Lined with soft, machine-washable fleece, the slipper was roomy yet cosy for my UK size 6 feet, thanks to the effective heating elements throughout its design. With a generous 230cm cord, you simply need to plug it in then get comfy at your desk or favourite spot on the sofa.

The slipper automatically shuts off after 90 minutes, which is an important safety feature. However, if you're all set for a day's working from home, it might be annoying to keep needing to unplug and re-start the slipper.

Personally, I like to fidget around quite a lot and stretch/change the position of my feet often while sitting at my desk or relaxing, so I found the design of this foot warmer a bit restrictive. It was roomy enough for me to cross my ankles over comfortably, but two separate slippers would have suited me better.

However, if you tend to keep your feet still, this slipper is a fabulous way to keep your toes toasty during the winter. Paired with a heated gilet or blanket hoodie to take care of your top half, they can even help you use less heating over the winter months, too.

How warm is the Beurer Cosy Foot Warmer?

The Beurer Cosy Foot Warmer is gloriously warm. It has 3 heating levels (the highest is my favourite), and gets hot nice and quickly. I love sticking it on after a chilly winter dog walk, to help me settle back into work mode.

Whichever level the slipper is set to, it turns off after 90 minutes. I would have liked to be able to have it on a low level all day, although I do understand the safety reasons Beurer have included this auto shut-off.
