Air Up Black Friday sale

If you've got school-aged kids, it's likely that you've heard a thing or two about Air Up water bottles. These hyped-up hydration vessels have taken playgrounds by storm since launching in 2019 and they're best known for two things:

  1. They're a fun way to encourage kids to drink more water

  2. They're ridiculously expensive

Ranging in price between £30 and £60 (!) per bottle, buying into the Air Up hype is a costly exercise. Especially when kids' water bottles have a tendency to get dropped or left behind on the regular.

So we're pretty excited that Air Up has launched a site-wide Black Friday sale with discounts of up to 25% up for grabs, just in time for Christmas. The discounts increase as you spend more and deals are valid until midnight, Monday 2 December, 2024.

  • 10% off when you spend £35

  • 15% off when you spend £45

  • 25% off when you spend £65

How to get an Air Up bottle and flavour pod bundle for just £22.50

The biggest discount applies when you spend £65+ so we'd recommend buying a few bottles for siblings and cousins, or clubbing together with other parents to place an order as a group in order to bring the price of individual bottles right down. If you order three of the Air Up Classic bottles (and flavour pods) or three of the Air Up Mini Sipper bottles (and flavour pods), you can get them for £22.50 each if you buy together. Plus delivery is free for all orders.

The parenting adage that it takes a village is in full force here. Get the family involved, message the class WhatsApp group, round up your neighbours. Share the savings! Be the parent that everyone thanks for lightening the load at this most wonderful expensive time of the year.

What is an Air Up bottle and why is it so popular?

An Air Up bottle looks like a regular water bottle but thanks to an innovative mouthpiece design, it can make plain water taste like a flavoured drink. Around 80% of what we perceive as flavour actually derives from smell so once you attach a flavour pod to the bottle and activate it while drinking, the scent leads you to believe you're drinking flavoured water. The flavour pods are made from natural ingredients including fruit and herb extracts.

The reason they're so popular at school? Kids probably like the fact that there's a science element attached to the design and the fact that they can choose lots of different flavours. They're often bought as gifts so it's the kind of thing that can be brought in to school and paraded around in the playground.

Gimmick or not, if it encourages kids to drink more water and makes hydration fun, then we're all for it. And it's an easier product to get behind and endorse than sugar-loaded Prime drinks!

DS got one for his birthday and I kept pinching it so I got my own. I love it, they are great! Really do help me with drinking water which I never used to do.

My dd is 11 yrs and most of her class swear by them! I think they are a bit of a gimmick but they are very popular. The tablets go a long way making it good value.

When is Black Friday 2024?

Black Friday 2024 officially starts on 29 November, but we've seen lots of companies kick things off early this year with many brands announcing sales throughout the month of November. During the sales event, MNHQ's deal hunters will be beavering away to source savings on products that we know Mumsnetters love and recommend.
