I can’t wait to see who drafts my girl Enes Kanter Freedom. 😂

In a video, the former New York Knicks and Boston Celtics star said: 'After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines, I’m officially declaring myself a @WNBA prospect.

'If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.

'My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.”

”See you at training camp.”

If there aren't any males present, there doesn't appear to be a problem to solve never mind it being essential.

Yes, there is. Because it might happen, so nail down the criteria. All risk assessments gave to do that. You don't just say no one has ever fallen off this roof garden so we won't put a railing up, do you.

Jesus.

And as is often pointed out, sex testing is vastly less intrusive than drug-testing, which all elite athletes have to undergo.

Yep I'd rather a cheek swab than pissing in front of the drug testers like sports people have to do.

I haven't noticed people getting onto their high horses in opposition to drugs testing, it's true.

Gosh. If only we could trust that no male athletes would enter the female category…. That had worked so well in the past, hasn’t it?

And of course, no need to test for PEDs either. No need to check age, or that a person entering a particular category for people with disabilities fits that criteria either.

In fact, let’s abandon all testing and all people are trusted to enter the appropriate protected sports category that they feel they fit.

Or… do some people have such contempt for female people that they would shame any female athlete who advocated for sex screening because they are obviously the ones with the problem.

If there aren't any dopers present, there doesn't appear to be a problem to solve never mind it being essential. No need for any doping tests.

Your argument is very immature and irrational.

No need to go to the fuss of testing either is there?

I don't understand why you have to show tickets before they'll let you in to watch the game. It's not like people who don't have tickets will try to speak in and, if they do, imagine how humiliated they'd be at being caught.

murasaki · Yesterday 22:17

I identify as a ticket holder so don't question me

Only female people apparently are hateful to want to ensure their protected sports category is only for female people and excludes all male people who have a body that produces or has produced testosterone within the male range when that body can process that testosterone to masculinise to any degree.

Apparently, female people wanting to ensure this are the problem.

@Talkinpeace ‘Griner will pass. She is female.’

Lol. Lance Armstrong ‘passed’ as a non doper for ages too. Until Floyd Landis was pissed off enough to squeal about their team’s systemic doping, and bring in the US anti-doping Agency.

Imagine there are complete ‘chemical enhancphobic’ bigots out there who want to out, and exclude, those who are being their true doper selves, in order to try to maintain fair sports in the male category.

Moral of the story; you need to check them all. Cheaters not going to admit anything, and someone feeling it in their water that certain players are legit is not a reliable or scientific method.

edited to correct USADA. Agency not Association.
