Posie not being charged

Posie has just done a live video, she's not being charged but only as they ran out of time to charge her for public order.

The police were going to pursue it in the name of public interest (sounds like SG dropped the charges but the police decided to pursue regardless).

Worth watching to get the full story.

''Ran out of time'' - It must have been hard to investigate what with Posie being such a secretive wallflower and hiding everything she does and everything /s

I’ve missed all this. What crap was flying this time?

Ooh, like the Miranda Yardley case, where the judge dismissed it and said it should never have come to court?

I'm with the police. It's absolutely in the public interest for it to be widely known that a crime of heresy and wrongthink for stating actual fact is being slid in by the back door. The more in the public eye and under the heat of public opinion the better.

Ran out of time?

They've been on this for many months, surely?

Uh...
There's no such thing as "ran out of time" to charge someone.
There's no legal set time limit the police have to adhere to wrt interviewing, gathering evidence, retaining your laptops to examine etc, then charging a suspect.

Haven't seen the video I will do but someone it telling porkies. Confused

I think there is still the 6-months limit for summary-only offences. A minor public order would fall into that category.

Whilst it would have been great to see this go to court and get chucked out straight away, I'm relieved Posie doesn't have to go through the whole process.

Summary offences have strict time limits on bringing charges. The sticking point is when does the clock start on the 6 month limit... is it when the incident took place or when it's reported or when the police first interview you etc.

I've just seen the video. Susie Green withdrew the charges in March, a police sergeant decided to send the complaint to the CPS and charge Posie with a Public order offence, she's had a phone call today to tell her that she's not being charged because they ran out of time. The complaint came about because of two comments Posie made in 2 different videos that were put onto YouTube. The comments were made in July/August last year.

Wasting police time 🤔

Can the police be charged with wasting police time?

They are a total fucking joke.

I just went to Posie's Facebook to watch the video but was distracted by a post, which is a screencap of a tweet by someone named Sue Pascoe, that reads:

"WPUK together with their connected We Need To Talk group have been reported to the police counter terrorist unit as a hate group under the UK Prevent programme. They are regarded in the same category as Britain First. This is not listening and debating with a reasonable group".

So I searched Twitter to see who this person is and wtf this is about but of course I'm blocked.

Why can’t they counter-report those responsible (we can guess) also as a terrorist group (for what they believe and what they do to people who disagree with them).

Good news for Posie, it must be such a relief. They probably decided not to proceed after the Miranda Yardley fiasco.

Sorry I got as far as them declaring themself a hormonal teenage girl and threw up a little in my mouth. What a crock.

If I got a new job I’d hardly be saying ‘I’m getting to that age where I don’t give a shit and am a horny as hell. What do you mean that’s inappropriate? Why doesn’t everyone want to know about my sex life? Do you want to see my piercing?’

Has anyone got a link to Posie's video? I'm not on FB so I can't search for it.

The BBC don't list Pascoe as a Tory candidate in NE England.

Both labour and conservatives have fully swallowed the kool aid. We need new parties and proportional representation.
