Well well, here's more of the stuff that was hiding in the pipeline eh? Last year's consultation was supposed to go by quietly so all this harmful ideology could just be rubber stamped and cheques signed
I can't open the PDF, but the NHS page says
The day will be split into two sessions, the first session in the morning will be for potential users to hear ideas around the new service and to shape the important questions to bidding organisations.
The afternoon session will provide an opportunity for potential service users to meet the organisations who have expressed an interest in delivering the new service. This will allow them to hear first hand of what is important to people and allow these providers to discuss how they might see the service working. (my emphasis)
Amongst other Qs, who are these organisations? Why are they not specialist services from within the NHS (not that the Tavistock is anything to be proud of.. but I am even more concerned about private organisations, and the money they will make out of it.
I am in total support of trans people getting quality care but frankly, think this needs to be MH care. No money for this though it seems.
And 17? FFS and with no need for a GP to know or refer?
