Yes, but this isn't just about a small number of dangerous extremists. It is integral to the movement.
Posts calling for TERFS to be punched are liked in their thousands. "Punch a TERF" is a common refrain from TRAs.
GC feminists have been slurred as bigots and nazis. People from antifa / anarchist fervently believe in punching nazis, this sentiment has been redirected to women. (See ATH image above).
A US public library hosted an art exhibition with violent imagery encouraging violence and murder of GC women.
Transwomen are encouraged to believe GC women want to exterminate them with constant language about how TERFS, apparently don't want them to exist, when this isn't true at all.
Narcissism and the idea that everyone is against you is encouraged, especially for teens.
This is from a desitor's very powerful account of being on Tumblr in her teens when she identified as trans.
"A lot of us were young teens, vulnerable in some way, whether abused or ostracised from society or just weak-willed. They gave us a new self, and all the power in the world. We thought so ruthlessly, that people against us didn’t deserve to live, reasoned it out in our mad non-reason –horrible, horrible, icy, inhumanly mechanical thinking that I have never encountered anywhere else since. We didn’t think about what we said, we just repeated what we knew we were supposed to say, and really, truly thought we were expressing our own thoughts."
This isn't a small bunch of extremists. This is part and parcel of the movement.
