Abuse of GC women on twitter (be warned graphic, disturbing)

Lily Maynard , a gender critical woman on twitter, has been sent an image of a dead body with the head extremely damaged. This is in response to her tweeting that there is no such thing as a “pink” brain.
I am sickened by this in particukar, and by the abuse on twitter generally of women who stand up and comment on gender. I think that this abuse of women is getting worse and needs addressing. I’m going to write to my MP , but I am also so angry with all the people who shut down debate on gender and who in doing so shore up the type of man who will send a woman images like this.
The whole transgender activist movement is out of control, riddled with violence and hatred of women and children. It needs to be stopped.

It does but I doubt twitter will stop it, or facebook or google as they are all run by members of the TRA fraternity.

Allegations of abuse against one of the men responsible for the 'Terfs are Trash' song:

Jesus Christ! Can she report to police? I’d also suggest getting this in the press.

raisinsarenottheonlyfruit · 08/08/2018 15:54

This incitement to violence against women is from Action for Trans Health.

ATH have advised government on trans issues. Prominent members included Jess Bradley - the NUS trans officer currently being investigated for flashing his dick at work and sharing incest / underage porn on his blog.

This kind of general threat towards gender critical women is really common.

I've got lots more examples of threats to GC women generally - is it useful to post them?

TheCountryGirl · 08/08/2018 16:03

There are no words to describe the abomination that is Trans Rights Activism. The hatred that just seeps out of these malevolent, savage sadists is just unreal. Sick fucks! I have never seen anything like it. They're fucked in the head.

LangCleg · 08/08/2018 16:42

Every movement has its batshit and dangerous extremists. The problem I have here is the unwillingness of the rest of this movement to clean house of its ones.

"And I can honestly say that the work that trans people do for each other means that, for me at least, the trans community is a beautiful place to be. Despite our differences, we have each others' backs"

Jess Bradley 'To My Trans Sisters' edited by Charlie Craggs (publ Oct 2017)

BertrandRussell · 08/08/2018 16:46

Yes- that is the worry. A movement can't be held responsible for its batshit extremists- but it can and shout be held responsible for the way it deals with them.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/08/2018 16:49

It is mentally disturbed. This isn’t normal, it is disgusting. If a male MP had been sent images like this it would be front page news. Yet feminists are being blamed for violence against themselves and every media darling is loudly proclaiming support for “trans rights”, not seeing the deep hatred of women intrinsic in the ideology.
Only Graham Linehan and a few journalists bravely commenting. Everyone terrified of sticking their neck out. I am scared too, I don’t tweet on this as I couldn’t cope with the abuse. How are these people managing to bully us all ?

I would write to the Home Secretary, he actually took a concerned interest in the recent bomb threats and other intimidation.

Abouttoblow · 08/08/2018 16:51

It's getting much worse. I've had 2 threatening messages on Twitter, really vile. I haven't posted on there about them as I think I know the person who sent them

raisinsarenottheonlyfruit · 08/08/2018 16:51

Yes, but this isn't just about a small number of dangerous extremists. It is integral to the movement.

Posts calling for TERFS to be punched are liked in their thousands. "Punch a TERF" is a common refrain from TRAs.

GC feminists have been slurred as bigots and nazis. People from antifa / anarchist fervently believe in punching nazis, this sentiment has been redirected to women. (See ATH image above).

A US public library hosted an art exhibition with violent imagery encouraging violence and murder of GC women.

Transwomen are encouraged to believe GC women want to exterminate them with constant language about how TERFS, apparently don't want them to exist, when this isn't true at all.

Narcissism and the idea that everyone is against you is encouraged, especially for teens.

This is from a desitor's very powerful account of being on Tumblr in her teens when she identified as trans.

"A lot of us were young teens, vulnerable in some way, whether abused or ostracised from society or just weak-willed. They gave us a new self, and all the power in the world. We thought so ruthlessly, that people against us didn’t deserve to live, reasoned it out in our mad non-reason –horrible, horrible, icy, inhumanly mechanical thinking that I have never encountered anywhere else since. We didn’t think about what we said, we just repeated what we knew we were supposed to say, and really, truly thought we were expressing our own thoughts."

This isn't a small bunch of extremists. This is part and parcel of the movement.

R0wantrees · 08/08/2018 16:57

the idea that everyone is against you is encouraged, especially for teens

The propaganda and lies that have been spread online by some activists (including those involved with charities and organisations supporting young people) has been enormous and relentless.

Often the tweets etc are re-tweeted in good faith as the source is likely trusted.

Many of those reading are vulnerable, especially young people.

A great deal of harm has been done by those who started the lies that women were threatening rape, carrying baseball bats to meetings, encouraging suicide and regarded people who were transgender as 'parasites' that should be 'exterminated'.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/08/2018 16:59

I agree this is instrinsic to the movement. If it wasn’t then there would be vocal criticism of the abuse, there is only ever justification. It is terrorism. I am terrified into silence on twitter, I did go to a Women’s Place meeting but I was frightened. I am frightened into not linking petitions etc on Facebook or twitter. I can’t think of any other political issue that I feel like this about. I can’t believe that this is 2018 and that I am scared to speak up on a women’s rights issue.

Although I am now listening to someone from Pink News on R4 stating that their journalists are exposed to 'vile abuse' by people who spread propaganda and lies even on the BBC. Benjamin Cohen I think?

happydappy2 · 08/08/2018 17:01

I gather that the vast majority of children/young adults presenting at the Tavistock are deficient in vitamin D. Their dysphoria means they rarely leave the house.... I get the feeling that some trans adults also don’t get out much, they spend a lot of time online & don’t interact with people in the real world. In reality if someone was talking crap you can walk away/ignore them or engage in civilised debate..... Twitter is not a good place to have a disagreement with an angry man.....

Wanderabout · 08/08/2018 17:01

I would write to the Home Secretary, he actually took a concerned interest in the recent bomb threats and other intimidation.

Really? I heard nothing except stone cold silence.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/08/2018 17:04

I will write to the Home Secretary. I’ve just had enough. I mean, a dead body ? With the head smashed ? It is unbelievable.

raisinsarenottheonlyfruit · 08/08/2018 17:12

SirVixofVixHall do you want other examples of threats towards women? I have a fair few saved, I know others do too.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/08/2018 18:43

Yes perhaps that would be useful, I can include them in my letter.

OP posts:
Datun · 08/08/2018 18:57

I agree SirVixofVixHall. I would like these people to be held accountable.

Whether they are inadequate losers posting from their basement, or powerful people who the government is listening to. They all seem to be part and parcel of the same band.

It's not acceptable. And it's not acceptable that people do not make a connection between sending a threatening tweet, and actual violence.

SirVixofVixHall · 08/08/2018 18:59

Indeed. Threats of violence have always been used to keep women in their place. We all know that these aren’t empty threats.
