Been a bit rubbish lately but I did do Charlie Follows yoga for runners. Liked that one, then yesterday a Kassandra for hips as my left hip was very tight. Been doing a lot of running lately so I needed both of those. Really do feel the difference when I keep up regular yoga so will be making an effort to get up earlier next week to get at least 20 mins in. Could do with adding some to my YouTube watchlist, or following another programme as the amount of mornings I waste yoga time choosing or just sitting on my mat watching random non yoga videos 🙄
Core play looks interesting, and I'd also love to hear what down dog app is like as I did consider that at one point. Although there's so much on YouTube, but something that keeps me disciplined might help...

YWA True day 12 yesterday. Outside again! Not the warmest weather but was lovely being outside with the wind/clouds/birds. Am really going to make an effort to be outside for yoga unless it's checking it down. Heading off on holiday soon - no space for a yoga mat really but will take a large beach towel.

Party last night, lots & lots of dancing, fibro flare as a reward so Adriene’s new 15 min yoga for nervous System . Amazingly it’s actually taken the pain down considerably,so that’s going in the bank as another tool.
@Jumbojem it’s finding the time for everything,if you’re running a lot and go to work, there’s only so much time in a day. That’s the joy of calendars,Kassandra, Adriene & Charlie Follows do on YouTube ,Sarah Beth does in the app. No thinking what to do,unless you really don’t fancy that days practice, which for me is quite rare. Yoga is definitely cumulative.
Yoga outside with @PatienceOfEngels is even more of a joy.

YWA True day 13 yesterday outside on the deck. Also did the prehab and day 1 of the core play. I don't like it so much because it's not a continuous video (written explanations and a demonstration of each exercise) and I rushed through it too much. I need to focus on my form a bit more and take my time (it's why I like Adriene as she doesn't go too fast and makes me more mindful of the quality of my movement, which means I don't overstrain myself).

Going to take advantage of the fact I've got 5 more weeks of school holiday and get on the mat everyday, maybe morning and evening.

Yoga camp day 16-enjoy,loosely from YWA calendar, chosen because I could fit it in before something I wanted to watch on TV and I REALLY NEEDED yoga after a nasty inflamed day yesterday. Hit the spot, lush
glorious view @PatienceOfEngels wonderful for yoga x
I rememner buying Core Play at one time but really didn’t like the format and I got a refund. I like complete videos to follow

Joining @PatienceOfEngels on True so Day 1 today,in the sunshine outside, marred slightly by my big dog trying to join me on my mat with wet muddy paws multiple times. Anyone know a good mat cleaner?🙄

I use a Manduka lavender one @Yogachick

Did day 16 of true which was loooong (the rest are all 25 minutes and under so far and this was 42!). Weather is so weird - one minute dark grey skies, the next the sun is so strong I can feel myself burning!

Buttalapasta · 22/07/2024 10:42

I've been very sporadic this month, just too hot for me.

Yogachick · 22/07/2024 13:57

Did days 2&3 of True. The practices are longer than I’ve been used to & I’m struggling with the timing.
However my neck & shoulder have gone into spasm & are locked in agony so have to wait for that to ease now🙄
Anyway I follow this lady on Instagram, she has an app & is offering a free month of yoga to do a summer challenge she’s offering from 1st August. I’ve no idea what her yoga is like, though I enjoy her Instagram. Worth a look if anyone fancies it.I just screenshot her profile pic

got my weekly email from Kassandra and this was mentioned,I’ve always fancied a yoga journal to keep my practices & opinions about them in one place. This seems to hit the spot. Does anyone else use similar?

Have been keeping up with almost daily yoga outside. Up to day 25 of True. Combining with lots of walking at the moment.

Yogachick · 27/07/2024 17:34

Well done@PatienceOfEngels . My neck is still painful but did some stretching this morning, much needed. It said on the blurb yoga/pilates/somatic movement .

Buttalapasta · 27/07/2024 20:32

I'm doing a lot of walking but still finding it difficult to fit in yoga now that the summer holidays have messed up our routines!

another thread for next month. I keep trying and am in awe of those (@PatienceOfEngels particularly) who are reaping the huge benefits of a daily practice
I’m doing lots of walking with the dog but am not making time for yoga and can feel my body objecting. So I’ll keep trying

Yoga for mood swings from Adriene July calendar . Done✅

OP posts:
PatienceOfEngels · 30/07/2024 09:58

Only doing so well with daily proactive as I'm on 6 weeks holiday @Yogachick!

Have done Core Play the last 2 days - don't like it as much. Weird getting used to another style after Adriene.

Today True day 26.

Very hot here (SE UK) so have been practicing outside in the morning shade and breeze.

Yogachick · 31/07/2024 08:52

Outside in the sunshine Yoga for Creativity from the calendar. A 40 min practice which I would usually avoid but the thumbnail showed horizon lunge which I adore. I’m sure it was prominent in one of the more recent 30 days, can’t remember which though. A strong practice but could have felt that way because of my lack of practice🙄
