It’s September and a new school year. Can we do yoga every day? Let’s try!

Well done @Rummikub. I always feel better after. On a complete standstill at the moment as on holiday but will be back to it next week.

Rummikub · 21/09/2022 18:55

Thank you Best. enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Hopefully now summer heat waves are done it’ll be daily ish yoga till Christmas then I just realised a new 30 day in January!

im still feeling serene 😂 my dd notices that I feel calmer too.

Rummikub · 25/09/2022 15:06

Day 8 ritual today and snuggle yesterday. Can you see the theme yet😂

Though even I thought there was too much laying down at the end today. I stopped it 4 mins before the end.

stillherenow · 25/09/2022 21:16

I did day 25 of breath. I'm not enjoying this series that much but todays one was good . Definitely going back to move next month. I do enjoy noticing how i understand some of the details she says as time goes on. And one of the things my physio explained to me is something adriene says for one of her exercises which id pretty much ignored but now I realise it's important. Everything she says is important, she's so good .

BestIsWest · 25/09/2022 22:24

I did day 25 of Move today. Felt good to be getting back to it.

Rummikub · 25/09/2022 22:29

She is very good at teaching in a subtle way.

It is good to be getting back into it BestisWest - I’ve only done three days and just feel better, calmer.

Ottiva · 26/09/2022 19:40

I'm going to join!

I did Move in January and repeated it in August. I have started again - finished Day 10 yesterday. I definitely feel stronger & more flexible this time

I'm very impatient with the breathing bits and often fast forward the start and end of the videos. Despite this it definitely relaxes me and has improved my posture and strength

Going to do Day 11 - Mobility later

Sooverthemill · 26/09/2022 21:50

Hello all, sorry I’ve been crap at posting. I tried to do my 10 minute sessions but it’s been really tricky with DD being super ill, sick and elderly pets and Rosh Hashanah and now DH has covid and DD has all the symptoms so I’m kind of assuming I may have it! Going to pray I can do MOVE in October!

@Sooverthemill Oh what a nightmare!

I had it same time as my dd and we were so ill.

So really hope you escaped it.

Welcome back!

One if the early ones (day 2/3?) really improved my posture or at least awareness of it and how rubbish it is!

notanicepersonapparently · 27/09/2022 10:03

I'm still working my way through breath. Like @stillherenow I'm not enjoying it as much as Move but I'll look out for Day 25. I'm going back to Move when I get to day 29 though. I can't manage the do your own thing day as I need the structure.

WantSomeEqualitea · 27/09/2022 11:19

I'm feeling proud of my 27 day streak, don't think I've ever stuck with anything this long! Looking forward to Move in October.

Sooverthemill · 27/09/2022 14:02

Well done! It’s a brilliant feeling isn’t it?

OP posts:
Rummikub · 27/09/2022 21:42

That is impressive! I’ve never managed 27 days straight!

skedaddler · 27/09/2022 22:31

I've done every day since Jan 1 except 2 days!! It helps greatly that I wfh !

Rummikub · 27/09/2022 22:52

What are your top tips?

I have a long commute to work so I tend to only get chance on the days I’m at home. Tomorrow I can do it but not this morning. And to me yoga feels like a morning thing.

Ottiva · 28/09/2022 07:27

Day 11 Mobility and Day 12 Focus done ✅

I liked both. Struggled a little with the one legged poses on Day 12 but balance is probably my weak point. Also not a hope of crow happening yet!

I frequently do my yoga in the evenings, as the sessions are relatively short I can squeeze them in after dinner / before kids bedtime

Rummikub · 28/09/2022 13:44

Day 28 TLC Still on my ease back in gently strategy and getting back into the habit of daily ish yoga. I might save this one for work days too.
Only 17 minutes and starts lying down bonus

Though I just cannot reach my feet for happy baby! I can get to my shin.

Sooverthemill · 28/09/2022 14:57

I have tested positive so I'm not doing any yoga! It's enough looking after sick DD and sick DH ( they are both worse than me though I reckon by tomorrow that may not be true)

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 28/09/2022 19:06

Oh no @Sooverthemill. Hope you are not too poorly. My DD also has it though luckily for me seems to have caught it after I saw her last.
Day 28 nice and calming but did a few down dogs and warriors as well.

Ottiva · 28/09/2022 19:11

@Sooverthemill hope you all get well soon

Day 13 planned for later....crow again yikes! Nice and short though

Hope you recover well and it’s not too miserable.

Ottiva · 29/09/2022 22:58

Day 13 Focus complete yesterday. I found it very tough - struggled with crow, split squats and half moon. For the first time this month felt like I've made no progress

However onwards and upwards. No yoga today as I played a tennis match but will do Day 14 tomorrow morning 🤞

Sooverthemill · 30/09/2022 15:51

I’m really unwell and totally reliant on DH to look after me and DD. He’s not intuitive!
can someone do an October thread?

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 30/09/2022 19:30

Oh no @Sooverthemill .Hope you feel better tomorrow. I’ll attempt to do a thread now.
