I'm back on the wagon as of yesterday. July was mainly a right off with an elderly relative crisis and a two week holiday. Although we returned on 30th July, it has taken me until yesterday to hop back on the mat. I do a real life yoga lesson on Tuesdays so I went to that last week. But when the teacher sent round the reminder yesterday I immediately thought I've let another week slip by without Adrienne. My real life class is a killer though billed as all ability. Adrienne is a gentle stretch by comparison but I think there is something about the daily habit which is more soothing and keeps me more flexible than the weekly killer.

I've managed every day except Sunday (and I went to a Pilates class yesterday instead).
Today in Begin was a "Beginner's Mind" which was just right for this morning.

I did another Adrienne from years ago today. Lacking motivation though in this heat!

Having a day off today. Too hot.

stillherenow · 10/08/2022 23:11

I put a fan on and do it in my pants . I was contemplating naked yoga today. Online naked yoga is a thing I discovered the other day . Good grief .

Sooverthemill · 11/08/2022 08:07

A Kassandra neck and shoulders for me today

Sorry I should clarify not for me to do. A friend of a friend does it and I was contemplating how horrific it would be!!

BestIsWest · 12/08/2022 07:26

Also did it in my bra and pants. Day 11 done. Grateful for a fairly gentle day.

Sooverthemill · 12/08/2022 08:05

@stillherenow i should think naked yoga ( at home) is rather sensible!
no yoga today, blinding headache

The August calendar has a 10 min bedtime yoga today but we're off on holiday so I did a 5 min morning instead.

Sooverthemill · 16/08/2022 08:56

I am such a bad person! No yoga for 2 days we went away for the night and we walked and walked and it was bliss. Tomorrow I start again

I had a short break during the heat but started again yesterday and have just done day 16. Lovely rain here.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 19/08/2022 07:57

Day 19 True. Fairly gentle. Included a deep yogic squat.
Back on the mat again.

Sooverthemill · 20/08/2022 08:15

After almost a week of no yoga I've done two days running of her core and hips one that's on the beach in Nicaragua. It's a firm favourite, takes 12 minutes and is very effective! Going to do it for a week then add in more sessions from other programmes and start properly in September. New school year and all that! Hope everyone is well

Feels like everyone is struggling a bit at the moment - makes me feel better about missing so much!

Anyway after missing about 6 weeks of yoga I've finally done a bit this week. Think I've done three days of Move and have really enjoyed it. Quite pleased to notice that I can remember some. Did day 20 today as I didn't have much time.

I'm doing a 30-day HIIT programme at the moment and she throws in some flow yoga every now and again. I have to say I don't like it at all. So quick moving from one pose to the next, no time to breathe properly. I like the HIIT but tempted to do Adriene instead on those days.

September I'll be back on the wagon properly Smile

Prestissimo · 20/08/2022 14:02

@Sooverthemill I like the sound of that hips and core one - might seek it out!

Sooverthemill · 20/08/2022 16:57

@Prestissimo it’s this one. I love it!

BestIsWest · 20/08/2022 17:52

Just did Day 20. I can see such an improvement in myself. I even managed the side planks - not for long but I’m really pleased. I love the feeling afterwards.

Sooverthemill · 22/08/2022 10:07

So I've done the core and hips one every day now and am loving it

We are on holiday with a very hard floor and DCs that are in each other's faces all the time... So no yoga for me!

Shinyandnew2022 · 23/08/2022 22:45

Back to it today after my holiday !
Absolutely loved the session ( day 16
Randomly !) and the
Feeling afterwards . Definitely missed it despite not doing any yoga while on holiday.

It's been a quiet month for lots of us it seems so I am not going to feel guilty for the
Break.

Sooverthemill · 20/08/2022 16:57

@Prestissimo it’s this one. I love it!

I will give this a try too thanks for the recommendation

Sooverthemill · 25/08/2022 08:39

I've had 2 days off as I've been unwell. Tomorrow!
