I've just handed in my notice (4 weeks) on my part-time job ! Had to do it because it makes more sense for me to be SAHM than to go out to work, as once I have paid for my childcare I am left with 15% of my earnings to show for it ! We are not eligible to Children's Tax Credits as DP earns too much, and with the summer holidays coming up we'd have to pay £26 per day for our 2 boys to go to a playscheme for 6 weeks ! Utter madness.

Bells dare I ask how old dd is? I'll never foget the sight of a friend of mine who just had her third..she was at the shops with her 4 yr old on a buggy board, her 2 yr old in a pram and the newborn in a sling. I can't remember where she put the shopping!! But talk about organised. I don't think I would have bothered leaving the house!!

Lucy 124 - how true! It is SO frustrating trying to work part-time - see my moany thread on back to work: jobshare to see just how bad my employer is - has the paper to show that it's committed to flexible working but won't do a thing to put it into practice.

Lil, she will be 22 months when No. 3 is scheduled to arrive.
