Hi

The astronomical start up costs haven't put me off which means I must be crazy as I have no money! LOL

Does anyone visit soft play/indoor adventure play venues on a regular basis and if so what do you like to see and what don't you like to see? (also what do your kids like to see)

What would make you go to one over going to say a Wacky Warehouse?

How improtant do you feel any educational benefits are of these facilities?
what do your Dh's like?..
What about Food?

And would you use one located in your loacl town centre with a drop and shop facility?( i know sounds terrible)

It would be in the Redditch/Solihull area.

Thanks Ladies your all super stars!!!

Well I think the rates should be discounted the more you have.

When arranging my DD1's party this year i considered a Play Area, but I had to invite 20 children which at £7-8 a head, plus anything on top that you need to supply, made it too expensive for me!

Maybe % discount if number is over 15 maybe. Then it might encourage toddler Groups/NCT/Ante or Postnatal groups etc. to use.

where has the op gone?

Haven't read all the thread but parking is important - a brilliant one round my way went bust because it lacked good enough parking facilities.

Been away for a few days and not had a chance to reply.
But this is all just fantastic....
nappy addict you are amazing!- can't believe you typed all that.

I have finished my business plan now and done loads of research just looking for sutitable premises.
Yes I will post and let everyone know when its open...but may be a while if can't find suitable premises.

One last question:

Does anyone feel the credit crunch or current climate would stop them going to a play centre?

New play centre just opened in Darlington www.adventure-point.co.uk.
Clean, bright, airy, secure, friendly staff, Starbucks coffee, healthy homemade food, juicing bar - everything you are all looking for! It's brill!!

Ooh Ooh Ooh me please me please!!!!!

NO LOUD MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!

Adult-friendly music only at extremely low volume (just loud enough to drown out any air-conditioning/ventilation system.

Small cinema screening room? (like you'd get at a museum)

Totally agree re healthy food, hygiene, separating out little ones.

Credit crunch no problem. If a dad can take kids to the centre on a Sat. morning and catch up on some work on his laptop then he's earning money while he's there!
