I had Mondays off for a year and didn’t get the bank holidays pro rated.

I do like a Wednesday off but it’s also nice to have a long weekend every week.

I used to have Mondays off. When everyone else got the Sunday scaries, I loved knowing I had a day off. It was like a little holiday just for me.

Mondays off. I’ve not worked a Monday in 15 years and I never get the Monday night blues. Friday is good as people are happier and you know you have the weekend.

True. When I used to work part time I never got the Monday blues

Not what you asked, but Wednesday.

A lot of things are closed Monday or busier or more expensive on Friday.

Plus it breaks up the week and you only ever have to work 2 days in a row. Fun things often happen at work on Friday but you're also available when people ate trying to finish things off without being delayed by those whose working week ends on Thursday.

My Mum cut her hours before retiring and dropped Wednesday working. She's said ever since that it's the best day to be off. Never working more than 2 days and a day off midweek when things in general were quieter worked so well.

I do five in four with Monday off, used to be Friday, it's annoying that my hairdresser's isn't open, there are a few local things not open either. However DH does 5 in 4 and doesn't work Fridays so it means I come home to a sparkling house for the weekend and can get on with more detailed/less regular jobs etc on a Monday. I do love having the house sorted for the weekend so if DH worked Fridays I'd rather have them off, but it works as it is

I did work a 4-day week and my preferred day off depended on what was happening at the weekend.
If we were going away to an event then I preferred the Friday as it meant we could make an early start. If it was a normal weekend at home then I preferred the Monday.

Friday as that when most of my friends are off, can go away as soon as Dc finish school before a break. Bank holidays are generally Mondays.

i am another vote for Wednesdays! You can come up for air, see the kids, Lidl is nice and quiet…..! And if you take two days annual leave, you get five days off in a row.

Monday. You never get Sunday sadness. I love Fridays in the office - everyone is in a good mood and there are fewer meetings.

Monday, the Sunday evening feeling is amazing!
