IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 20:17

as mothers on maternity leave, I am not , my kids are older, nearly teens, considering coming back to work after maternity leave is over. Considering work from home, or not to go back to work, I always wanted to work form home, and now MLM offer yes or yes, or what do you think about MLM opportunity?

okey it is not only for mothers on maternity leave😊

What is 'MLM yes or Yes'?
Which MLM are you thinking of joining?

Your proper job is not a pyramid scheme because it doesn't require you to pay money to work there, nor does it need you to find other people to pay to to work there, in order that you can be paid.

No proper job needs you to buy the product you sell. People who join MLMs don't realise that THEY are the customer.

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:21

@BobbyBiscuits okey, you look at Robert Kiyosaki - business of 21Century, Bob PROCTOR , Fraser Brookes, Eric Worre😊

@DeliciousApples market is overfilled by cosmetics products, MLM is not about selling products, it is about team building, support of each other, mindset... Nobody will make money , okey, can make some money, but I am talking about as business opportunity, by selling only the products...

Yes, I believe that they don't need to lie about their income, specially if they want you recruit

Are you already part of one and trying to sell it?

Why would you post for advice and then pushback on everyone who says it's a scam?

Maybe @mumsnethq could have a look at this one?

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:31

@deviantfeline I didn't say that the proper job is a pyramid scheme, I said that I feel there like in the pyramid. Not everybody can achieve a dream life working in the warehouse or somewhere else, and even not everybody can make a "carrier", because there is limited number of supervisors

Psychoticbreak · 15/08/2024 21:32

@Edenmum2 shes is clearly already brainwashed by someone and has already decided to join I would think. It certainly sounds like the op has already been sold on this and will have to learn the hard way I guess.

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:34

@Edenmum2 in which of my post I am trying to sell something?

@Edenmum2 in which of my post I am trying to sell something?

I'm guessing you're building to it.

Like I said - why would you start this thread if you are literally going to ignore everyone's advice?

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:40

@Edenmum2 because I just wanted to know what people think these days. Because MLM has been for most people a swearing word, as now I can see still it is. But why there is so many mlm companies? some of them many years on the market?
If all of them are only scam?

JoJothegerbil · 15/08/2024 21:41

You seem to know the names of a few MLM 'experts' (I use that word loosely) for someone asking advice about them. Come on OP, which one are you trying to flog?

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:47

@JoJothegerbil yes, I have watched some videos from them, youtube is full of that stuff, what is wrong about it? And I feel like you all are flogging me just using a "MLM"

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/08/2024 21:47

What’s your current job? Does it involve writing?

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:50

@AnneLovesGilbert I have a "proper job" in the warehouse. Why?

OP posts:
PeriIsKickingMyButt · 15/08/2024 21:54

What a load of rubbish. Of course you're trying to promote some MLM or another. But since you think MLMs are so good, give it a try, what could go wrong? 🤷🏼‍♀️

AnneLovesGilbert · 15/08/2024 21:57

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 21:50

@AnneLovesGilbert I have a "proper job" in the warehouse. Why?

Idle curiosity.

If you don’t enjoy it you could always look for a different job that has a regular salary and conditions, rather than the schemes you’re considering which don’t.

Yoyodiet · 15/08/2024 21:58

OP you don't seem to want to hear anything negative about MLM's but if you're happy to alienate your friends and family with the endless attempts at selling, recruiting and tacky social media posts then go ahead! If you have any shred of morality then avoid joining an MLM like the plague. Women (especially newer Mums or those coming to the end of mat leave) are disproportionately targeted and very few make any money at all - most lose money. And friends. And respect.
Think about it too from a business perspective, why would you 'recruit' people to be in direct competition with you to sell a very limited product line?

KeepinOn · 15/08/2024 21:59

Why do MLMs still exist after many years?

Have you SEEN the internet? It's full of people who believe anything.

Edenmum2 · 15/08/2024 22:46

Ok then - go ahead and give it a go, as I think this is is the only answer you're looking for. Good luck.

Pipersouth · 15/08/2024 22:53

I know someone who seems to have done really well with it -but she has had to buy lots of the products for demonstrations so I’m sure that has eaten into her profits. She is funnily enough now trying to recruit so I guess she has made all the money she can out of her local audience. I hope she hasn’t /isn’t going to lose out - I wouldn’t risk it

Because year after year, there is a never-ending supply of new people coming along who fall for it.

IvetaKor · 15/08/2024 23:27

thank you everyone for the answers, I have not expected such a " heated discussion", that the most people are sill not prepared for something different. The model " go to school, have a job for 40 years and wait for your ridiculous pension" is still the best option for most of you or us.😊But I heard saying if you want to achieve something different than most people do, you need to do something different as well. 😊but also I realised that to be different is still odd these days. Have a nice rest of the evening😊

The delusion is extraordinary 👏🏻

nomorezoflora · 15/08/2024 23:33

Falling for a scam isn't "doing something different", people do that every day and lose all their money. It's not going to be any different at all for you.

HayNo · 15/08/2024 23:36

lol good luck with retirement after the MLM 😂

stockpilingallthecheese · 15/08/2024 23:48

Why did you bother posting? As you can see you've not come across a single person on this thread who thinks it's a good idea, why do you think it would be any different in the real world. Most intelligent people are wise to this shit now. And the people who appear to be doing well from it are liars, fake it till you make it.
