I reported my colleagues for gossiping and ostracizing me last year.
They are like 60 something school girls.
Today I heard on recount to the other I had a face like a smacked arse.!
I wasn't eves dropping I just followed her as I needed to add to let her know something important otherwise we don't converse .
Would you respond to this or ignore it.
Otherwise I'm loving the job now.
Am I just the whipping boy.

When was your complaint and has there been a formal outcome? If not raise a grievance,

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 16:33

Last July it was investigated no formal response as yet.

…did you have a face like a smacked arse?

LIZS · 16/02/2024 16:34

There should be a fixed timeframe. Worth a follow up.

TraitorsGate · 16/02/2024 16:37

Who did you report it to? It seems a long time ago not to get any response.

Newlywedish · 16/02/2024 16:37

They sound like sad old mares. I would follow up on that complaint & do you best to ignore.

It’s not really about you. They sound like very sad people.

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 16:37

Ok thank you.
Things have slightly improved so I don't feel bullied.
No timeframe was mentioned just that I would get a final outcome letter.

Good for you. I've been through the plausible deniability cold shoulder a couple of times. I think standing up for yrslf is hard in the short term but good for you long term.

TraitorsGate · 16/02/2024 16:40

I'd speak with whoever investigated it, it's pathetic and very unprofessional. Perhaps your manager should arrange to speak to the offenders.

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 16:42

They are tbh.
Bitter about working and hate the fact I'm career minded.
Probably know I'm paid more too.

TraitorsGate · 16/02/2024 16:42

I had this too and was standing outside the room, I said I hope you're not talking about me, she was very embarrassed but she moaned about everyone, 2 faced stupid behaviour.

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 16:45

I would have to go above manager as she was the one who wouldn't sort out the behaviour as she is friends with them and also gossipy.

Report them. How nasty! You go to work to earn a living not bully someone or be bullied. Don’t stand for it OP.

Sorry you ve experienced this traitors gate.

Thanks, sad thing is it was healthcare which is notorious for bullying, she was young enough to be my grand daughter. Like you though the line manager was the worst.

EvelynPlummer · 16/02/2024 16:53

I went through this.
I did not react in anyway whatsoever, the confusion on their faces
They are trying to create drama by singling you out, then they pounce and " justify" their own behaviour
If they leave you out of work emails just send a polite email asking to be sent xyz in future
I caught my old boss pulling faces at me and asked if she was quite OK, she was as red as a beetroot !
Remember they are the ones with the issues not you, it's not really anything to do with you.
Go in do your work, be polite, go home
Sort of grey rocket for work

Newlywedish
Ads are such as easy way to find out pay grades.
I never discussed my rate of pay.

You need to be speaking to your manager, not HR. HR isn't some sort of conflict resolution service which is there to sort out squabbles between workers.

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 17:01

Thank you Evelynplummer.
I've agonised over it over a year.
Then decided to network with our professional social media.Throughing myself into projects and documenting my progress.
Im sure they thought they could bully me out.

Traitorsgate I've heard this about healthcare.
In my experience teams are best with different abilities, ages genders.

strawberry2017 · 16/02/2024 17:06

If you haven't had a response letter by now I would hazard a guess you won't be getting one. I think it's probably been brushed under the carpet by now.

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 17:06

Macaroonmacron.
I didn't go to HR.
I informed my bosses area boss and she escalated it as there have been issues before with one of my colleagues.

OP posts:
EvelynPlummer · 16/02/2024 17:28

@whatisforteamum
And anyone else going through this
The way I changed and thought of things differently really helped
So " they are making fools of themselves and exposing their own inadequacy/ poor behaviours in the workplace"
Detach as its nothing to do with you

whatisforteamum · 16/02/2024 18:08

Agreed
