..if we hadn't been interviewing one of our members of staff today who already works in the school in a similar role.

So, had my interview today after gaining an interview in competition with 33 strong applicants - apparently. Didn't get the job but had a half hour phonecall of feedback from one of the 4 interviwers and he said quite categorically that I gave a fantastic interview and they would have happily given me the job had I not been up against this one woman.

Lots more posts coming up due to new government initiative - exactly same role, just different set of educational establishments. Shall I apply? I already missed out on an interview for the same post a few weeks ago because they were basically doing the interviews because they had to - already had someone 'inhouse' lined up.

He said there was nothing he could fault really, just one answer that was maybe a little short, otherwise perfect.

They finally called me this afternoon to offer me an interview at 1:30 tomorrow! And have to give 10 minute presentation. I said will panel be aware that I've only had one evening to prepare! She said yes but I bet they don't make any allowances. Haven't actually decided yet whether I will go as a big part of me thinks I am wasting my time. BUT at least I know I am short listable (sp?) now when it comes to future jobs in this area.

MIL is happy to do it, bless her she was here when they rang looking after dd today, so she offered straightaway. I still haven't made up my mind though. Putting dd to bed now and will decide after. Btw apparently they are not expecting powerpoint presentation - lady I spoke to said she didn't think they would have the equipment, just handouts. will speak later.

Emailed you last night on your ikea address. Didn't go for it in the end, number of reasons but mostly because I felt I would be at a disadvantage to the other candidates and didn't feel I would be able to do myself justice. DD was really unwell in the night and we were up for hours so it was obviously the right decision! How did you feel you got on? What sort of questions did they ask? Fingers crossed for you.

Interview was quite rigorous. i think I made my presentation shittily but did well on interview questions. alas, not heard back this eve so somehow doubt I've become the chosen one!

I think unsuccessful as have had 2 calls today. Bit late to be phoning to say I got the job tbh. Anyway I missed the calls so I still don't know for absolute certain.

Hi there, any news? If no go do you think you think you will apply for more? Or have you had enough of extended schools?!! Am thinking of applying for another one but not sure. Instinctively I feel that a lot of these posts have 'names on'. But then I am a cynic!
