Polycule falls apart

I expect people remember that Heather Herbert (charged in relation to social media comments he made after Ann Widdecombe's death) is in a polycule with Sophie Molly (aka Sparkles, aka Euan Weddell) and someone called Poppybear.

Molly, I believe, is a witness for Jolyon Maugham in Sarah Phillimore's libel case against Maugham.

Poppybear has been posting some very indiscreet posts on BlueSky about both Molly and Herbert, and it looks, tragically, as if the polycule has fallen apart.

According to Poppybear, Herbert's comments about Widdecombe "painted a bullseye on all of us", and led to the police coming in and "invading" all their devices (whatever that means).

Also according to Poppybear, living with Sophie Molly is "like being permanently slapped around the face by pathological laziness unless it's something that grooms her ego."

The state of someone's home, and their self, can be a strong indicator of their mental health or lack thereof. I think we are seeing mental fragility when we see these photos. And yes, plenty of people are mentally fragile and live in squalor but they never get the political reach these clowns do.

Whilst I think that the absolute state of that house is definitely indicative of some mental health issues, it can't be denied that most of the selfies that men like these take really do show a level of domestic neglect that's difficult to ignore.

In our house a "bunch of herberts" is a group of young lads up to no good.... no idea that they also held an annual celebration of bad behaviour

I have a question - is it usual to keep an HA flat on for months when you go to live in the other end of the country? Isn’t that abandoning the tenancy?

I expect there would be bits in the tenancy agreement to the effect that you're actually meant to live there! But it's not unheard of in HMO that one of the tenants is away for a bit and/or doing a bit of a snide sublet. As long as the rent is getting paid and the others go along with it, there's no reason for it to be a problem.
