Polycule falls apart

I expect people remember that Heather Herbert (charged in relation to social media comments he made after Ann Widdecombe's death) is in a polycule with Sophie Molly (aka Sparkles, aka Euan Weddell) and someone called Poppybear.

Molly, I believe, is a witness for Jolyon Maugham in Sarah Phillimore's libel case against Maugham.

Poppybear has been posting some very indiscreet posts on BlueSky about both Molly and Herbert, and it looks, tragically, as if the polycule has fallen apart.

According to Poppybear, Herbert's comments about Widdecombe "painted a bullseye on all of us", and led to the police coming in and "invading" all their devices (whatever that means).

Also according to Poppybear, living with Sophie Molly is "like being permanently slapped around the face by pathological laziness unless it's something that grooms her ego."

Oh dear.

In a separate development, apparently Herbert has had his toxic kidney removed by the NHS so the money donated to the fundraiser is going to be used for something else:

Are they connected to the polycule and dare I ask what extreme crimes one of them had been arrested for

Interesting the shit is hitting the fan for both groups at the same time when both groups have connections to Bash Back.

Noting the police have been able to legitimately seize phones / hard drives following arrests.

Now that's one hell of a coincidence.

My spideysenses are tingling.

I don't particularly believe in coincidences. It's quite possible simply that additional pressure and stress applied made things go boom rather than more concrete as an explanation. It does all sound like there's some investigating going on. Especially given the comments by Poppy about loose lips.

But my.

I can't help but wonder how much it will change the landscape in the UK if both groups are tackled by the police.

Didn't Someone Else suddenly take a break from Bluesky too?

Not before the receipts had been collated.

Sad times.

This is the first time Sophia Brooks's real name has been revealed, isn't it? (This is the person who has been hounding Glinner, and whom Glinner always refers to as Tarquin. Brooks also turned up at the LGBA conference the time all the crickets were released.) We know that Brooks is closely connected to Steph Hayden and former police officer Lynsay Watson, both of whom have been involved in making malicious complaints to the police about individuals they've targeted.

I can't find a record of Michael Semionov anywhere, however, including Ancestry, which suggests that might not be his real name either. Or possibly he was born outside the UK, or possibly again that ptrjms is making the whole thing up.

I can think of instances where folk from an Eastern European background reclaim their father's name in later life.

I'm half EE myself, and we kept our furran surname, but many folk in my position had their Scottish mother's surname on the birth certificate because the father had taken mother's name on marriage. Some later started to use the father's name.

ETA Ignore. I see that it's now been found.

Polanski has done something similar.

Yes I’m very curious who is being referred to there.

A later tweet suggests they were all chummy with the two men who were making money out of surrogacy and are on remand now (I think) while waiting for trial on serious sexual offences and trafficking. Obviously, I have no idea whether there is any truth in either the criminal allegations or the existence of a friendship between Fat Tony et al and the Drewitt-Barlows. This is the CPS press release about the arrest. https://www.cps.gov.uk/east-england/news/announces-two-men-charged-human-trafficking-sexual-exploitation-and

Tallisker · 02/08/2026 17:45

Who are they talking about? I know Fat Tone and Tarquin but who are the others?

FaithHopeCarnage · 02/08/2026 17:46

I (very) vaguely recall from previous musings about Brooks that there was a Greek connection. But so vaguely that I could be completely mis-remembering. Around the time of Glinner’s court case.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/08/2026 17:46

Beats me. I assume Harrop has long ago had the sense to distance himself.

RoyalCorgi · 02/08/2026 17:46

SabrinaThwaite · 02/08/2026 17:18

I found it on the GRO website, under search online indexes for births.

Thanks! I didn't think of that - duh.

If it's correct, it suggests that Brooks was truthful about one thing - his age. Many of us had assumed he was older than he claimed.

It’s all very entertaining though. The polycule is now the ridicule 😆

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/08/2026 17:50

What both these unsavoury spats show up is that these are not people who should have been pandered to by those in authority. As I've said a million times before, as have others, where was the basic common sense and judgement to see that these damaged dysfunctional men were not the ones to listen to on public policy, especially on making changes that basically destroyed safeguarding of children and other vulnerable groups, as well as putting the very recent advances in women's rights and gay rights into reverse?

RoyalCorgi · 02/08/2026 17:50

It's all quite odd. I have no idea what this particular thread from ptrjms is about, though, or who ptrjms is:

https://x.com/ptrjms/status/2083892579855134735

Unless it's all some kind of elaborate con designed to fool us, there is something very strange going on. As Red says, it looks as if the police are finally involved and investigating. God knows, it's taken them long enough.

ptrjms (@ptrjms) on X

Hi, Harvey (the man I’ve apparently been feeding information). I did not harass your mum. I’ll be honest. When you posted a photo of your Christmas window, we tried to find your address so that Hayden could report you to the police for stuff you posted...

Presumably he would have had to show official ID to the court given that the prosecution was making a big thing about his age during Glinner’s case.

The name ties in with previous reports from a women’s group that he infiltrated saying that he spoke Russian.

FT has some ongoing spat with someone on X called Harvey.

Cokenolives is Brooks.

Whoever said it was like visiting a Victorian insane asylum was bang on the money.

The meltdowns are hilarious, and I'm not sure there is enough popcorn for this.

There was a possible person who people thought might be him on Companies House IIRC

There was a Sophia Abigail Brooks and a Sophia Abigail Eraslan - both registered at Companies House in respect of a company called The Finna Company. Brooks is no longer active as a director but Eraslan is. Eraslan’s nationality is given as Turkish. Which is obviously where I got Greek from. Dammit. Close but no cigar! It was assumed, by those better at digging than me, that Brooks/Eraslan are one and the same.

Mmmnotsure · 02/08/2026 18:52

Those names are down as Mx Sophia Abigail Eraslan and Sophia Abigail Brooks. Mx isn’t a common usage. It is an IT company.

I think that was set up as a red herring.

AnAutumnCrow · 02/08/2026 19:25

Any mention of Barrie Drewitt-Barlow and Scott ?Drewitt-Barlow instantly makes everything a lot grimmer (huge understatement). These two are being held on remand till trial in January, apparently. Plea hearing September.

WerewolfOfLoudon · 02/08/2026 19:33

The donations to the fundraiser have been paused (finally) hopefully due to many reports of violating policy @SabrinaThwaite @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g

IMO the arrests cake about from the police seizing devices after links to Bash Back were found and Euan spilled his guts. He was part of the Glinner arrest too, shame he will be fighting a fraud case rather than being compensated.

Sparkles is still posting for Bash Back though, while repeating ad naseum his manifesto - making it illegal for women to tell him he's a man of course.
