Wow, JM really is having quite the mid-life crisis 🙄🤯

I suspect having trans kids means he's got to keep going with the lie or finally face up to reality. Sunk costs fallacy, innit?

As for 'non-violent' claims, what the hell is 'non-violent' about balaclavas and claw hammers?!

A couple more screenshots from Bluesky of JMs defence of Bash Back (posted in the last hour)

Are they archived? I will if not.

I haven't done it as I'm not sure how

I really hope journalists are watching that account and maybe that will push some attention to police and politicians

I think I managed to archive it. The difficult bit was clicking the squares with the crosswalks in. I get told I'm wrong every time

ArabellaScott · 06/04/2026 20:53

Yas! Well done.

Lalgarh · 06/04/2026 21:08

How does stuff get posted onto the wayback machine

SinnerBoy · 06/04/2026 23:45

SidewaysOtter · 06/04/2026 10:44

Having seen animal rights activists and trans rights activists, I’d say there’s a big overlap. Quite possibly the same people just out for a fight.

@SinnerBoy I think you meant “proscribed”? Prescribed is the very opposite 🙂

I most certainly did, indeed! I've just read that post and it's an autocarrot nightmare!

Why is he saying it's non violent? Has he read it?

They're totally upfront about advocating the destruction of property with stolen weapons!

And “ensure your target can be hit repeatedly until they desist” from their “transphobic” activities.

Terrorism

RedToothBrush · 06/04/2026 13:59

But they aren't non-violent. They are openly advocating violence and criminal behaviour.

Precisely.
And Jolyon remarking that 'the TERFs will weaponise it'. WTF does he think we should do? Invite them to carry on?

There is a whole culture around using the words that sound good, whether or not they are accurate.

RedToothBrush · 07/04/2026 07:44

The thing with terrorists is the twisted logic they have to surround themselves with to justify the criminal actions which they know may harm others.

In Jolyon's position he has possibly already justified harms to his own daughters to himself.

So really the possibility of harms to others wouldn't be as significant not as hard to justify to himself because he's already had such a significant shift in logical fallacy in order to explain his own opinions and actions.

To everyone else this just looks fucked in the head and like criminal behaviour.

It is entirely consistent with a cult and the demands of a cult where harms are overlooked or somehow justified in the name of a god. We know how far they can go in terms of their actions - they believe they are acting rationally and logically. But also we know there is no room for doubt and anyone who doubts is punished - sometimes physically - but definitely emotionally. This is about the extreme need to control the narrative within the group itself and not allow any critical thinking and questioning to begin. Why? Because this is a threat to the existence of the group and the power within the group.

It's time government started to see this as what it is. It's deeply unhealthy for those in the group and it's actively increasingly dangerous to those who are vulnerable within the group and to others outside the group.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 07/04/2026 07:50

they've always been openly supportive of violence to get what they want - they say the quiet part out loud all the time and yet despite this the government, the police and the media still seem to think this is nothing serious

(Also Colour me shocked that this thread is free of our usual be kind/it's very complicated/you're just mean old bigots visitors)

I wonder if Jolyon has ever been reported to Prevent.....

Excellent point.

In addition he could certainly do with some help de-coding the image given that he calls BB “non-violent”. Jolyon: people wearing balaclavas and raising weapons are not “non-violent”.

Obvs not directed at you Edith...

They self-ID as non-violent.

SinnerBoy · 07/04/2026 09:13

Dear me! Do they define "legal, democratic disagreement " as extremism? But not intimidation, threats of violence and actual physical violence?

And there are MPs supporting, or excusing this. It's a topsy-turvy world.

Maaate · 07/04/2026 09:51

So pick-me Jolyon is escalating his efforts to be the next messiah?

EmpressaurusKitty · 07/04/2026 10:17

Have they discussed the Times article yet? I can’t see anything.

Considering that they attacked Wes Streeting's constituency office. and yet the Labour Party in general, with only a few exceptions, still cosies up to these loons...

Haven't seen anything but I suspect not many of them are subscribed to the Times so unlikely it's on their radar. Plus they don't really like to highlight things that paint them in a bad light.

ArabellaScott · 07/04/2026 10:56

Predictably, they read people on here discussing whether BashBack et al are terrorists and immediately pivot into DARVO.

Its their only means of defense, because the muddled and absurd bunch of ideas that passes for an ideology isnt coherent enough to exist except as a reactionary sub culture.
