That’s lovely news for your daughter @SingleSexSpacesInSchools I really hope she enjoys herself.

The current trolling serves to illustrate the utter paucity of arguments that TRAs suffer. I never bother reporting this stuff as it shows any casual reader what happens when you discuss women’s rights publicly.

SingleSexSpacesInSchools · 22/04/2026 12:09

If and when they do reappear can we just ignore them and bulk report for the accounts to be suspended please? :)

I am always up for debate, but that wasn't debate, it's trolling (as they said themselves)

Quite right. I hope she gets the time to spend the voucher before your meet up.

I had no idea Pillock was such a local term I shall use it with more pride :)

I grew up with this word - spoken and graffiti-ed - too, but lived down the road from you in Hastings/St Leonards!

MrsOvertonsWindow · 22/04/2026 13:02

What a lovely update SSSiS.
Having read responses to numerous articles in the media about your case, it's very evident that responsible adults are completely supportive and are somewhat incredulous that any school actively promotes this safeguarding breaching behaviour.

The few supporters seem to be the baseball bat / rolling pin wielding males intent on breaching women and girl's boundaries.

Mummy's called. Your Lunchable is ready.

Can I have a juice box?

Filling up the thread with nonsense to prevent discussion is such an obvious and boring technique by now. In this case I’m sure you realise the level of support you already have here and that won’t change with one goady poster.

I’m glad to hear the news regarding an exciting and important meeting, hope it goes well and I’m sure you’ll tell us all about it.

This is what frustrates me when such posters openly and expressly tell us that this is precisely what they are doing and yet MNHQ does not delete their accounts. It makes me wonder whether their agenda is to allow the controversy to flourish as it gets more engagement here and more onward postings on reddit and in the Daily Mail, rather than to safeguard a women-centric forum from trolls and disrupters.

DialSquare · 22/04/2026 14:03

We say Pillock in London too. Among other things!

LlynTegid · 22/04/2026 14:11

Although the update is almost no update, thank you OP for keeping us updated and best wishes again to your daughter.

TheInvisibleWorm · 22/04/2026 14:43

SingleSexSpacesInSchools · 22/04/2026 09:20

No updates on the legal case just yet, few weeks to go I believe.

However my daughter and I are going somewhere brilliant and meeting important supportive people next week, I can't shed any details, yet again, sorry to tease, but I think it will be a valuable boost to my daughters confidence in all this (it's not wavering at all) and frankly makes me feel good as well :)

AND there is a care package of cards etc. arriving from the Solicitors as they have bundled it all together, very much looking forward to that, I will share pictures if appropriate

Not to mention another voucher which if my daughter can be organised enough, she might use and wear the clothes next week - huge thanks to the donor and EVERYONE who has, just blown away I really am.

That's so lovely. Glad your spirits are high, along with your daughter's. 💖

Pommy has gone to stroke his white cat
(not a euphemism)

Good luck SSSIS- you and DD are on fire
Alll power to you 💪💪

Tedious though the interruptions are, OP, at some point, when your daughter is through most of this, reading the offending posts could very well serve her understanding.

It's long been noted that nothing peaks a fledgling terf like a TRA.

Ofc, she could well already have heard similar and worse at school. The content and tone are pretty teenaged, here and elsewhere. It's the kind of stuff I remember two friends finding hilarious (and the height of wit) around 14 or so.

Abisequer · 22/04/2026 16:37

Let’s not respond if they come back, just report for the troll they are.

I have just done that.

Well done SSSinS

BiologicalRobot · 22/04/2026 17:09

Well done Schools, I look forward to hearing about the supportive and important peeps once you are allowed to tell. My eldest brother was the only one who used pillock but he was the only grammar school kid amongst us (most schools turned comp or private between him and next child in our area so we had zero choice).

As an aside...am I the only person who doesn't actually understand that person's posts? I know I'm not as bright as most of you here but I understand the majority of posts in this section (unless legalese), even other trolls, but this one? Nah, it's so wordy it's almost like AI trying to be clever.

womendeserveequalhumanrights · 22/04/2026 17:27

CautiousLurker2 · 22/04/2026 18:49

Still pondering collective nouns all these hours later.

How about a protuberance of pillocks?

nocoolnamesleft · 22/04/2026 19:04

You know, it really helps restore my faith in human nature to see a dad fighting like this to protect the dignity and safety of his daughter, and her friends. Because that's what a good dad should do.

SingleSexSpacesInSchools · 22/04/2026 10:47

Ooo even better - I have long thought that the only thing holding the ideology together was that StoneWall managed to get "No Debate" in - but that of course backfired like a dam holding things back until it got too large and then the damn collapses, flooding the world with people saying "hang on a second..." I hope your MIL keeps watching.

I had an apology from a friend who was firmly in the ‘bekind’ camp. She has seen some things happen recently that have opened her eyes wide.

The good thing for the removal of trans ideology is that once a person hits their wtaf moment, there’s no going back. And as with any important revelation, they want to tell people. The #nodebate era is over.

And some rather desperate interjections from the ever diminishing number of trans activist believers are ever helpful in underlining the level of delusions they experience. One day even Pom might get it.

The truth always wins. It’s like a self righting lifeboat.

I think this is also an example of free speech, democracy and the rule of law winning too. Imperfect as those ideals are in practice, we should guard them fiercely.

I quite like "a panic of pillocks".
