As the patrons, and gerbils, of The Bluestocking Pub sleep off their Christmas Day food and alcohol intake the capybaras will be getting paid double time to move the pub and contents to the new thread overnight.

All welcome, as long as you are a woman. The men have their own pub The Staunch Ally. It's just down the road, then turn left at the bridge.

You don't have to be mad to drink here but it most definitely helps.

Leave the real world behind and join us in the mayhem and surreal life of a pub staffed by gerbils. Where the food is always exactly what you ordered and the drinks don't give you a hangover the next day!

I've been pondering the cheeseboard and decided to champion British cheeses, so I'm going for an Eden Vale Brie and a Harrogate Blue - plus a glass of Boily's
bubbly, please gerbils. I may hang around until the removal van arrives and cadge a lift to the new thread.

Thanks for the Skyr recommendations, by the way. Tried some tonight and it's not bad at all! Might try it with a swirl of jam next time.

Poor Gorgonzola. She's merely a dedicated affineur with a penchant for blue and washed-rind cheeses.

I hope the cheeseboard has room for one of our favourite soft French cheeses - Pie d'Angloys, which originates from Burgundy.

I think the cheese might need its own transport for this move!

We appear to have TWO cheese vans! And a microclimate, since it's snowing on one but not the other!

Very true. The microclimate was a bit surprising. Multiple cheese vans should not have been.

I'm low on Tunnock's supplies so Glenda over ordered the cheese this week as she knew we'd have a whole van spare.

I've currently got a wonderful cheese selection in my actual fridge. You can have Stilton or Marmite Cheddar.

That's it.

Well, it'll be a hardship, but I'm willing to try living on Stilton. I like marmite, but as its own thing, not adulterating other items.
