This is great news, they really do deserve it!

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 20/11/2025 22:57

Brava!

I loved this bit in the Herald link above

"Susan Smith from the campaign group thanks print journalism and "the many thousands of women" who have "supported us but could not have their voices heard". Her final message is for MSPs to support Ash Regan's Unbuyable bill."

Even when winning their thoroughly deserved award, they are still campaigning for women. I absolutely love them! Flowers

MrsOvertonsWindow · 20/11/2025 23:04

Magnificent women.
We owe them such a lot Flowers

Wonderful news – congratulations. And if the bbc is really, truly sorry for all it has put women through over the past decade, perhaps now is the time to commission the Tv adaptation of their story…

HaveYouActuallyDoneAnyWashingThisWeekMum · 21/11/2025 07:05

Bloody good for them ❤️❤️❤️
What an inspiring group of women

Thoroughly well deserved. I dread to think where we would have been here in Scotland without them.

junipery · 21/11/2025 19:26

Brilliant, so well deserved.

INeedAPensieve · 21/11/2025 19:32

I'm so pleased for them, it's so well deserved and they have helped so many women in Scotland and the UK with their campaigning.

What a fabulous piece of news. Thanks also to the herald - a great paper, v close to my heart for various reasons.

ArabellaSaurus · 21/11/2025 20:45

I also think its noteworthy that the Herald has chosen to make this award. It seems a decisive shift.

From tiny grassroots meetings to a seismic legal victory that has huge impact on politics. All those inflated quangos pumped with tax money, but Forwomen Scotland took them all on.

Politicians should take note.

well pleased for FWS

The Herald does have a few trans activist reporters though - James McAnaney being one. Total wanker. Have the displeasure of knowing him in RL.
