Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Doh 🤦‍♀️

If they are funded as a single sex group under the EqA2010 then they’re breaking the law.

When they put down this as criteria I do wonder how they can ever stop anyone from joining. If it’s based on simply saying I identify as female then it seems pretty obvious they wouldn’t be able to object to any man saying those words. How would they, when it’s so woolly. What if he identifies as female just for this - is that acceptable? It all seems such a nonsense.

I was momentarily interested - until I got to the ‘identifying’ bit. Shame

Oh, I hadn't seen that from 2019. There was a little disruption last year on this point. I was wondering what they'd do this year; they've recently changed the downstairs women's tickets to gender neutral but do have women's toilets elsewhere. They are very very captured, but otherwise a fabulous place. I just can't see why they can't have a women's event and separately a trans event if they want one. I keep waiting for them to back down but they haven't yet....

I love the place though, I'm not willing to risk getting barred....
