"Darlington Nurses" vs County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust Tribunal Thread

Five nurses working at Darlington Memorial Hospital have filed a legal case suing their employer, an NHS trust, for sexual harassment and sex discrimination. The nurses object to sharing the women’s changing facilities with a male colleague, “Rose”, who:

• identifies as female
• has not undergone any physical or hormonal transition and has full male genitalia
• has cited inclusivity policies
• is backed by the trust’s HR department
• has been granted access to a single-sex changing room for women.

The NHS trust’s HR department dismissed the nurses’ concerns, stating they should “broaden their mindset” and “be educated”. More details can be found at Sex Matters

The hearing is due to start on October 20th and is scheduled to last 3 weeks. I can see the front page pictures now, Rose is going to be on all of them, like dear Dr Beth was. I can see the headlines from the BBC now, Rose trying badly to feminise himself and the pleasant, caring, kindly nurses all together

Plenty of people tried to report Dr Upton to the GMC for lying declaring he was a biological woman and would demand to treat any female patient who only wanted to be seen by a female doctor, but we're told to bog off until court proceedings were finished. I hope the NMC gave Lyndsay and his gang a similar answer.

Story in the Telegraph today 4 members of the public have submitted complaints against the nurses. Not clear if they were actual patients or just the usual suspects. Awaiting to see if the NMC will entertain or kick out. That will be interesting

Nor have I. The email says the link will be issued the day before the hearing. Perhaps the links are set up to automatically be sent out tomorrow, that is assuming they don’t work on Sundays.
