My link has no preview but is about Unite members voting for strike action.

The vandalism isn’t connected with this, is it? It’s related to their security/military role.

True, but a company with such a carefully cultivated public image seems to have a lot of people who don't agree with them.

From TT

Also on Wednesday are the submissions for Kelly vs Leonardo UK Ltd.

We will be taking notes (as if tweeting) as usual and then putting it out as a thread on @tribunaltweets2 on Thursday.

I am in hospital this week and can't live paste - too many interruptions, and not a calm environment.

I think the submissions may be posted as a thread and not live - Allison Bailey's appeal is also being heard next week and the Darlington nurses' evidence begins on Wednesday.

I can post the thread as soon as I can after I see it, but probably not live paste. I will comment and be around, but I really can't provide the service I did previously.

It would be great if someone else can take this on, particularly if it's live tweeted. Alternatively I can tweet as I am able but it may be frustrating.

It's a good question cake. I'm trying to think of another point of law where every single law firm and professional advisor has got it so wrong, for so many years.

I doubt there could be claims for negligence for advice provided before the supreme court judgement - prior to that judgement I would think that MakeUK and other advisors could rely squarely on the fact that all other reasonable professionals would have given the same advice. There is something called the Bolam test which is where a professional's actions are "accepted professional practice", they're likely to be protected from a negligence claim.

It's more that MakeUK is still, even after the FWS case, publishing duff advice on their website about letting trans staff use the single sex spaces of their choice/gender identity, not biological sex, that a claim might arise...

We don't know how many law firms and professional advisors got it wrong. I very much doubt that all lawyers advised wrongly, or became ideologically invested. I imagine that quite a few employers quietly carried on as previously. And I'd assume that some clients, possibly many of them, chose to go against legal advice. They must have seen it as being low risk. I'm confused by the issue of GRCs. Did no-one think that men with GRCs should be treated differently from men who simply said that they felt like women?

I'd step up and stand in for you, Myrtle, but I'm afraid I've a few things on this week so I can't.

Can somebody else do the copying and pasting from TT, please?

We all wish you well, Myrtle, hope you are out of hospital and on the road to full recovery very soon💐

CarefulN0w · 19/10/2025 21:47

Wishing you well Myrtle. And thanks Marie for stepping up - it’s looking like a busy week.

Namechanged555 · 19/10/2025 22:30

i work in nhs and loos anywhere in my building are unisex. I avoid them when i can. Guys just piss everywhere. Floor is disgusting.

NoBinturongsHereMate · 19/10/2025 22:38

Please concentrate on getting well, Myrtle. We can manage without live TT pasting if necessary.
I'm in and out through the week, but may be able to do a few stints.

Namechanged555 · 19/10/2025 23:39

@MyrtleLion best wishes xxx

anyolddinosaur · 20/10/2025 11:36

Wish I could help but I'll be catching up as have other things today/tomorrow. Be leaving in a minute.

Wishing you treatment at last and a swift recovery, Myrtle.

NotAtMyAge · 20/10/2025 11:42

I wish I could help too, but we have family visiting for the entire week. All I can do is drop in occasionally to try to catch up.

ickky · 20/10/2025 15:52

Oh @MyrtleLion I'm sorry to hear that you are back in hospital, sending you healing vibes.

Don't worry about pasting TT tweets. I will send the links after each session.

It is such a busy week, 3 tribunals in one week.

Are the Kelly v Leonardo submissions live? If so, I’ll see if my previous joining instructions will work.

I can do some copy/paste on Thursday morning but need to be out in the afternoon.

I agree about this being a busy week, nothing on each for variously days/weeks/months and then three at once, from tomorrow.

NebulousSupportPostcard · 21/10/2025 14:53

I think Kelly v Leonardo submissions take place tomorrow. TT will take notes as usual but not post till later ? Thursday because they will also be covering 2 other cases.

I have access for Kelly and for Darlington tribunals and plan to hop between the two. But may just listen to the one with the best sound, as Leonardo sound was so awful last time

Thinking of you Myrtle and hoping for a speedy recovery for you xxx

ickky · 21/10/2025 15:01

I just got the email for access tomorrow. it is the exact same details.

@NebulousSupportPostcard Have you got the link and pin for Darlington yet?

OP posts:
NebulousSupportPostcard · 21/10/2025 15:09

@ikky no not yet, just got the earlier Darlington one confirming a place. Have just received an email for the Kelly case.

Octoberaddsagale · 21/10/2025 15:37

Similarly, I’ve been sent the Kelly v Leonardo link again, but not heard from Darlington yet.

Harassedevictee · 21/10/2025 18:14

I’ve had a link for both. I am leaning towards the Darlington Nurses but if it runs true to form we won’t start on time.

True, but they have had 2 days already. With four weeks allowed for the tribunal who knows, though.

Wow! Remote, so we can see everyone's faces. With luck the sound will be better, too.

I see NC is wearing what I'm sure is a carefully curated scarf...
