Thank you.

Good. Onwards and upwards.

birchtreeglow · 27/08/2025 21:48

I'd love to know the 19 organisations that they are writing to.

HolidayInCambodia25 · 27/08/2025 21:54

Good.

Hoardasurass · 27/08/2025 21:57

I hope scot gov is one of the 19

LadyBracknellsHandbagg · 27/08/2025 22:00

Cue a certain lawyer going up in smoke 😂 sad, sad, times.

GoldenGate · 27/08/2025 22:11

Its about 'self identified gender' access not certificated sex that the SC ruling was about. Still a step in the right direction.

19 organisations 😱

MrsOvertonsWindow · 27/08/2025 22:27

Hope the education ones are high profile and include at least one school.. Complying with the law and getting transactivism out of schools and away from children must be a priority.

NotInMyyName · 27/08/2025 22:41

Thank you for the update. It has cheered me up. Progress …

Can I just say that, as someone from the states, I am beyond impressed at how rapidly and masterfully the UK has organized their response to halt and purge trans ideology throughout your institutions. Don't get me wrong I know that the battle has been very hard fought and there's still a ton of work to do, but you're light years ahead of us in the US. Here there is definitely a sense that the tide has turned from a social aspect. For example, I rarely see people pasting pronouns anywhere anymore, this June (pride month in US) certainly didn't have the impact and visibility of years past, etc. But bc of our private (and God awful) Healthcare system and flaccid government I worry we will never see the same level of coordinated mobilization. The view is envious from across the pond.

My first thought was, 'only nineteen?'. I suspect they're just getting started.

DrPrunesqualer · 27/08/2025 23:23

Hurrah!

The wall of sad melts 🥳

Humbled by your lovely post
🙏

Such great news and heartening to think it’s all being reclaimed for women, bit by scrapping-fought bit

JazzyJelly · 27/08/2025 23:37

About time.

jawsnsharks · 28/08/2025 06:45

Excellent news. Gosh would I like to know who these 19 are. And echoing others in stating that I believe the EHRC is just getting started. Hopefully this will have a domino effect and complete capitulation follows in rejection of 'Stonewall' law.

19 organisations 😱

Not just 19 organisations, but 19 of our publicly funded institutions and services openly defying the law (against the citizens who fund them), whilst our government does nothing.

ForCraftyWriter · 28/08/2025 06:52

Why only 19 out of 404 I wonder. I would have thought it would be more like 350-400. Doubles all the organisations referred were indeed breaking the law

jawsnsharks · 28/08/2025 07:00

Wonder if the 19 are the most strategically important ones? Perhaps there is a cost implication? Once these 19 fall, the rest will follow naturally.

akkakk · 28/08/2025 07:01

I am hoping that some are umbrella organisations such as the NHS / Scot Gov - which in turn cover a larger number of complaints…

RhymesWithOrange · 28/08/2025 07:14

My organisation will not be one of the 19, sadly. They have withdrawn their illegal policies but not replaced them with anything yet so we are in a weird nothing situation.

This seems to just be addressing the public sector. Hopefully the private sector will take note of this, and the various employment tribunals etc and replace ‘stonewall law’ with the actual law, if they haven’t already.
