Cardiff Magistrates Court heard that the messages contained abusive language while accusing Rebecca Lovell of being "mean" and seeking to find out details about her new relationship.

A message demanded £350,000 within 15 minutes and wished to ensure that Wallis's former wife and others "never have a happy moment again".

Wallis, who was the first MP to openly begin the process of gender transitioning, previously told the court: "My name is Katie Wallis, but my legal name is Jamie Wallis".

the article uses she but makes it clear throughout that the man transitioned.

Katie Wallis facing the camera as she walks along a street. She is wearing a black dress with a black strap across her neck. She has her hair up.

The former Bridgend MP previously denied the allegations but later changed her plea.

The absolute state of this man.

BuckaDuck · 15/07/2025 07:03

Isn't this the same MP who crashed his car while drunk and ran away from the scene later claiming it wasn't his fault it was because he is trans and was being blackmailed after being raped while not having a trans identity at all and hos wife not knowing anything about him being trans until that point?
Was the blackmail and rape ever investigated?

Well done the wife for not putting up with his abuse and divorcing him then taking him to court.

WarriorN · 15/07/2025 07:09

Yes that’s him. Iirc he ran away from the crash in fishnet stockings and high heels.

or hobbled I imagine

That’s the chap. He appeared to be a cross dresser who transitioned because he was caught- drunk driving, crashed the car and ran away while dressed as a woman. Better to be a struggling transitioned than a drunk transvestite.

He’s then cornered into transitioning. History of fraudulent/failed business dealings as well. And ran a dodgy web site. Sugardaddy dating/ prostitution website?

Nice chap. Feel for his wife. And have a smidgen of sympathy for him, as he’s clearly been hoisted by his own petard and is shocked to discover his wife isn’t obliged to put up with his crap.

WarriorN · 15/07/2025 07:10

His poor wife, I really hope she’s received support. And I’ve no idea if they have children? What a selfish man he is.

I forgot about the running away in heels and fishnets!

I mean why wouldn't any of us and our daughters want to share a female space with him....he seems so stable and kind towards women.

AgnesX · 15/07/2025 07:15

You do wonder how in any reality this person thinks it's a way to behave, not least someone who holds themselves up as representing the public.

Thingybob · 15/07/2025 07:54

Poor woman

In a personal impact statement, Rebecca Lovell said the messages left her "drowning in a chaos that was not of my own making" and concerned that Wallis would turn up at her house.
She said she was left wondering if threats of suicide were real.
"I torture myself wondering if I deserve the vile slurs," she said.
She added, "I can't remember a day I haven't cried. The woman I used to be has been destroyed."

And yes I believe there are children from the marriage.

Chersfrozenface · 15/07/2025 08:10

The Western Mail and the (South Wales).Echo print versions (Reach newspapers) are less than charitable about him.

Odd, since they are normally TWAW and Go Trans!

The online version is behind a paywall.

He reminds me of Dani Laidley. Got caught abusing and stalking his ex while cross dressed and went with it, especially when he was somehow portrayed as a victim. Now he’s celebrated as a trans icon. Give Wallis time, the sob story of struggling with his “real self” will come out at some point 🙄

CagneyNYPD1 · 15/07/2025 08:33

Well done to Rebecca Lovell for standing up to this waste of space.

I’m very surprised that the term “dead name” was allowed in court. There’s no such thing as no one has died. In the eyes of the law, surely it is “previously or formerly known as”.

Anyone can change their name by deed poll - I did. I have to declare my name change but have never seen the term “Dead name” on any official documents. We shouldn’t allow such terms to be used in court as it it’s not true and our courts should only ever be concerned with truth and justice.

Shortly after the final message was sent, Wallis was found by police and sectioned under the mental health act before being arrested and later charged.

So he can hide behind 'mental health' and receive a community sentence, yet Lucy Connolly was sent to prison for 2 years & 7 months, for a tweet.....

Abhannmor · 15/07/2025 11:38

In fairness Connolly was calling for hundreds of men women and children to be burnt to death. And publishing their addresses. Not to minimize the crimes of Jamie Wallis btw.

NotTerfNorCis · 16/07/2025 06:40

I've noticed a change in reporting recently. Transwomen more likely to be referred to with male pronouns in the UK press. That would have been unthinkable not long ago.

Here's another example: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/judge-tells-divorcee-to-pay-half-her-exhusbands-ps160k-trans-surgery-b1237885.html

The ex-husband who demanded £80k from his wife for surgery is referred to as 'he' throughout.

Or the bystander who described the person running from the crime scene as looking "like a prostitute".

Katkins17 · 18/07/2025 19:37

So many of these trans identifying men are abusive twats !!

It’s a popular look with that demographic. Which is highly illustrative of how they view women.

I think it is also why they are so pro-prostitution, for the sexual degradation and humiliation that they want to experience - because that's what "living as a woman" means to them.

That hadn’t occurred to me before. It certainly explains why so many of our ploppers always turn up and rubbish the Nordic Model on FWR threads discussing prostitution 🤔 The lack of empathy for women forced to sell themselves is notable by its absence from this particular group of posters.

@happydappy2 I really don’t understand how you can make a connection between this case and Lucy Connolly who said in a public message that she wanted people to be burned to death.

The connection is the mental health aspect. Connolly bragged that she would, "play the mental health card" but it didn't help her. Wallis actually did play the mental health card, including tormenting his wife with threats of suicide, and it kept him out of nick.

Right. But one of them harassed his ex wife and the other publically called for people to be burned to death. Can’t you see that what Lucy Connolly did was far more serious?

Yup, that's him. Obviously, not a well man ...
