Name changed for this post to protect my own privacy. I couldn't see another thread about this on here. The British Medical Association (BMA) Resident Doctors' Conference has passed a motion condemning the Supreme Court judgement. The language used, from doctors (who have studied science and human anatomy in great detail), is just baffling. How is a biological definition of a woman "biologically nonsensical"?
I can't post a link to the quote below as it's on a non-public website but there's also an article in mainstream press - The Times - if anyone able to post an archive link (I tried but can't)
"The emergency motions carried by the attendees were:
- Calling for an independent review into national recruitment systems and an explanation of the data handling process following errors in radiology and anaesthetics applications
- Calling for none of the current NHS England Workforce, Training and Education leadership team to end up in the new entity in the Department of Health and Social Care once NHSE is dissolved
- Condemning the Supreme Court ruling defining the term "woman" as "reductive, trans and intersex-exclusionary and biologically nonsensical""
