Following on from Thread #23 of the Peggie v NHS Employment Tribunal. Anyone who wants to help with survey/audit of paperwork against the Equality Act protected characteristics please join here 😊

I suppose it depends on how keen everyone is… let’s just get the first pass of the Scottish trusts done and see how it looks?

As far as I’m concerned there are clearly things which breach the “foster good relations” requirement. Other common themes will presumably emerge

@KnottyAuty You should have received the updated version of NHS Forth Valley which means you can delete the previous one. I have a bit of capacity this week to do another, or possibly two if their websites are not too much of a mess!

We have 7 trusts in the spreadsheet now, so 7 more to go.
Obviously proving more tricky/timeconsuming than we thought?!

I have Dm'd or been in touch by DM with those who signed up for trusts but haven't yet entered - so they may welcome the offer of help....

@TwoLoonsAndASprout has kindly taken Lothian (which was driving me bonkers). I am struggling a bit with time would anyone be able to take Orkney? It's quite a small one and I'll do Lanarkshire

From an initial overview of the three trusts in Group 4, they do tend to use the correct PCs, but there is a definite bias towards LGBTQ++++ with that group pretty much just being T.

They also seem to use documents and EqIA from Highlands which are pretty TWAW heavy and only really consider the policy impact on the T not the other PCs

if you can look for single sex policies that would be great - because they’ve been modified to be mixed sex by stealth! It’s going to be the easiest concept/deception for people to grasp - and has been a specific SG promise which is being broken

I think Once for Scotland is a source of policies that all Trusts can refer to - in theory so they all say the same. Although in practice it seems like they are all use different docs?

The SG uses this phrase again and again - but it is clearly weasel words where they don't help anyone make it clear:

Quite possibly. So Greater Glasgow and Clyde are not only using broken links, the broken links are to policy documents that aren't actually finalised yet and are still being consulted on? Where do I find that clown emoji you all use?

I literally scraped Highland and GGC's entire websites to a Linux VM so that I could search the content locally. Despite this, the word of the day is "lacuna".

It's going to take FOIs to get the data I can see is missing out of Highland, which I am reluctant to do because if the FOI team looked on Mumsnet, they could link my real name to this username.

With GGC, I don't even know if the data exists because the broken link could mean "moved" but also could mean "deleted".
