It may be worth considering St Helier with the London list (Surrey / London overlap) as thats where Jennifer Melle is (disciplined after referring to urinary tract patient as Mr, who then kicked off, racist abuse).

I've been looking into this wrt Leisure Centre policies. It is confusing because the EA2010 Code of Practice for Services, public functions and associations (published Jan 2011) says:

Gender reassignment discrimination and separate and single-sex services

• If a service provider provides single- or separate sex services for women and men, or provides services differently to women and men, they should treat transsexual people according to the gender role in which they present. However, the Act does permit the service provider to provide a different service or exclude a person from the service who is proposing to undergo, is undergoing or who has undergone gender reassignment. This will only be lawful where the exclusion is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.

This is similar to the Glasgow policy you quote. I think this is the Code that is due to be revised. Sex Matters encouraged us to respond to the recent EHRC consultation on this.

The EHRC Guidance you quote is more recent (April 2022) but it would suit TRAs to stick with the Code of Practice and ignore the Guidance. IANAL and don't know what legal interplay there is between the Act, the Code and the Guidance

The comments are interesting - they are concentrating on the fact that this is Scottish NHS trusts and basically saying, ooo, those bonkers Scots.

So, I guess all the more pressure for us to demonstrate that this is NHS-wide!
