I love your lion pictures Myrtle! although I wonder if the lion in the main picture/mane picture has scalded the tips of his poor little paws and is cooling them off in the water while trying not to cry because he's a lion?

I love the lion in bed, working up to sitting up and having a cuppa because there's nuffink good on the flippin telly, as per - even if it is out of what appears to be an enamel mug. The gerbils need a good talking-to!

And Inky and yourself look so noble together. InspiringSmile

I didn't realise it was a TV, I thought it was someone behind the counter of an open plan kitchen. Possibly rustling up some nice hot soup.

It's supposed to be a romantic comedy!

MyrtleLion · 20/02/2025 16:49

I like the thought of the lion having hurty toes and cooling them off while trying not to cry. This stereotyping of lions as courageous and ferocious is damaging because they have to express their feelings in private (if at all) to avoid bullying.

I also asked for a standard image of women of various ages with no men in the pub with gerbils as bar staff.

ChatGPT failed.

I like that one of the figures is half-gerbil, half-women😄

I've had another look. Judging by the hole in the handle that's an assassin's teapot and just what is that green stuff on the massive piece of paper by the tin mug? Has Beetle been round to make one of her 'special' rollups?

The other lioness looks like she's soaking her claws at the start of her session at the hipster nail bar.

MyrtleLion · 20/02/2025 17:11

Weeeellllll...

I do know what it is, and honestly, it's just a natural product grown in warm, humid conditions with lots of light. Boily definitely had nothing to do with it being in by the tea.

🙄

Tomato plants, Myrtle. Trust me, I'm a doctor and a botanist.

The gerbils in their weskits look adorable and the lady, with the extra leg, seems quite taken with them.

I hadn't noticed the third leg! I did rate the image as "Horrible". This is the rating name. The next one up was "Pretty Bad".

Magpiecomplex · 20/02/2025 17:48

Whatever is on the inaccessible indoor window balcony thing doesn't bear too close inspection either.

My car has been repaired.

It's shocking, in theory I'm all about reducing emissions, and I do try not to drive off in all directions all the time, but gosh, 10 days of not being able to get anywhere without cadging a lift was dull, and although there is a bus, carrying heavy stuff like cat litter would have been very awkward.

Tomorrow, shop till I drop.

Cat food, cat litter, cat treats, the different cat food, meat for the cats, cooked meat for the cats . . . . .

DeanElderberry · 20/02/2025 18:15

I will also need to get to the bank to find money for car repairs, but next week is soon enough, I'm not going to queue with all my fellow oldies on pension day.

Magpiecomplex · 20/02/2025 18:15

Gemini does seem a bit better at knowing what females look like. Female lions are reliably sans manes, but I did have to remind it that female moose don't have antlers.

don't you both look lovely

lcakethereforeIam · 20/02/2025 18:26

I read that as your 'cat' had been repaired, Dean. Reading the remainder of the post I realised it must have been a premonition.

Very pleased for you and, especially, for your cat.

All the banks near me have closed. I was in Llandudno a few months ago, they had a bank. I was well jelly.

DeanElderberry · 20/02/2025 18:33

Our town still has two banks, a credit union and a post office. Shadow of its former commercial self but so lucky compared with a lot of places.

lcakethereforeIam · 20/02/2025 18:39

There's a cafe in Beaumaris that used to be a bank, they let us go and have a look at the vaults. Everytime I pass the dentist, Sainsbury's Local, etc. that were once banks i wonder what they use the vaults for. They're likely to still be there. They'd cost a fortune to remove.

Swashbuckled · 20/02/2025 18:42

So tired after working (on my pirate ship).

Catching up on all the posts.

I also have Latin O’level 😊. Ha; I knew it would come in handy one day.

@MyrtleLion good news re the interviews but maybe there’s some sort of beautifully crafted bib you could wear until you safely arrive….? 🤣

Love the photos @MyrtleLion ; I feel quite dashing.
Although @DeanElderberry , I’m with you on the heels. I never wear them; am more of a chunky DM boot sort of pirate.

I really love the pic of the all-women pub. Brings to mind a much better version of “The Worm that Turned”.

Swashbuckled · 20/02/2025 18:44

@Magpiecomplex

Great pics! Gemini really seems to be the M&S of AI.
I’m still sad it wouldn’t work in my phone.

Swashbuckled · 20/02/2025 18:46

@lcakethereforeIam

I’m intrigued now.
What did the cafe use the vaults for?

DeanElderberry · 20/02/2025 18:53

its stock of Tunnocks if it has any sense of self preservation and stock control

ErrolTheDragon · 20/02/2025 19:05

I'm sure a Sainsbury's could also stash lots of good stuff in a vault.

The dentist otoh...

The animals are good but they do seem a little... cut out & stuck on.
