The sentences are not terribly long, though. 6-13 years, except for the husband who got 20.

Does anyone know wether it is customary in France to serve only half, as in the UK?

I felt emotional watching her walk out of court with the women clapping & shouting 'Bravo Giselle!'.

Now the public drama is over I hope everyone leaves her alone while she recovers from everything that's happened following her husband's treachery. She deserves peace.

She should be 'Person of the Year'. Time magazine chose an actual rapist instead.

Reminds of that necrophiliac man who was then discovered to be guilty of 2 long term unsolved murders.

She deserves the Legion d'Honeur. She has done inestimable good. Why women should be shamed for being raped is a mystery to me. About time the guilt and shame were shoved where they belong. Good wishes to her forever!
