Goldsmiths ends Queer History MA, to xomplaints

I picked this up from an annoying little feed on my laptop so can't link, but the lead tutor (Bengry) been made redundant and is not best pleased.
Weren't Goldsmiths' students very active in shutting down women's groups in the area back a few years?
They are alsp ending their Black History MA.
The story was first in the Independent but I can't find it on their site.

It's the MA, not the course. Not sure it has any significance. I assume it's a numbers game

It appears Goldsmiths have made a professor reduntant (as part of a programme of over 50 staff redundancies? ) He ran the MA in "Queer History"

The institution appears to be worst hit by this wave of uk higher ed redundancies. Many jobs lost across the uni in depts like music. 1 in 6 staff affected apparently.

Higher Ed is a business now, if there aren't enough bums on seats it's bye bye degree course. People like this 'academic' (air quotes as he can't even spell) are unbelievable in their arrogance and entitlement. No-one is owed a particular job.

Reality bites, and it's about time.

I could probably work up some mild irritation at being excluded from air burial over boring health and safety concerns?
