POW candidate mocked by Northumbria police for reporting threat.

1/2 Breaking!!!! A #PartyofWomen candidate reported a threat to @ northumbriapol @ POWLizPanton

They did not take the threat seriously and put the phone down on her… or so they thought. In fact, the line stayed open and we have the recording of what was said:

PC 1: What does she think happens? You have put yourself out there, as the voice of the people, and people out there don't like what you have to say.

PC2: She accepted that in all fairness. I don't think there's any real credible threat.

PC1: Ah she won't accept that. She's made reference to getting punched and tagging her leaflet. But you were giving them out! You cannot take back the fact that you are handing the fucking things out! I don't get it!

Male voice: "If anyone's going to come and punch her it's going to be . . .”

PC1: “ME!”

PC2: (Laughing) Punch a Nazi!

Two of the officers were female. They work for @ sCCJardineNP

What an a absolute bunch of cunts! I hope she is ok and I hope these officers get sacked! I have never trusted the police since I was assaulted by an officer grabbing my breast repeatedly when I was 16, when I told him if he didn't take his hand off me I was going to punch him, he did it again, so I punched him then promptly got arrested. The police have never taken violence against women and girls seriously, but it still makes me so angry!

I just listened to that audio, absolutely disgusting! So someone can threaten her, but it's all her fault for "spouting" her views and putting her face to it! What the fuck! I really hate how unfair it all is!

This should serve as a reminder to record any contact with the police.

It just makes me realise that we haven't moved on in 30years and it's so depressing! Women and girls will continue to be hated and assaulted and it's all our own fault, it was my fault for drinking a flagon of stonehouse in 1996 and now it's this ladys fault for having the courage to stand up for what she believes in, it makes me sick!
