Oh @GrimbutGerbil have we told you lately how wonderful you are and how we all love you!

We're going to have so many artifacts to donate to museums of activism. (We may need to leave explanatory notes for our heirs. Who may, of course, be so scandalised that they ritually burn them and then end up telling their descendants stories filled with regret that they didn't recognise gerbils, hamsters, otters or vipers for their semiotic significance in democracy's last stand and resistance to authoritarianism.)

tbh I doubt the Barbican or British Library would curate or display it, based on recent stances and exhibitions, but there will be people who respect that a pushback about data scraping came from MN.

Building on the earlier idea of sponsorship, could we donate funds to send some Tshirts to Triggernometry, Andrew Doyle and other suitable parties?

I was thinking the scoop neck T-shirt. I'm not sure what colour options they have in stock? I'd prefer black, white or a colour that goes well with the image. The baseball top is also cut less tight around the neck, so that's an option.

True. It would have been satisfying expensive to travel to the venue to sticker it during the conference. And we'd probably have had a repetition of previous urban myths about razor blades and stickers. And stickers would be interpreted as hate crimes which is where Aston came in…

Among the many reasons to stick with MN and FWR is the ever present willingness to generate images, musical events, social media ideas, share remarkably niche knowledge of rodents and combine viperish responses to exploitation of MN's users with gentle reprimands to errant academics.

Oh Beetle, I needed a TW on that video of 'For women's rights' being sung! I don't know how I'd not heard it before so it took me by surprise and I've tears rolling down my face. Every so often it hits me that it feels like so little has happened in the 45 or so yrs I've been involved in FWR stuff - I was probably overdue a cry anyway. 🙄(ps. thank you - I'm going to learn the words)

Oh you’ve all made me laugh. Bar the poor poster who experiences cognitive dissonance when looking at animals in clothes: that’s as normal as can be. Not dressing up actual animals, but the works of authors like Beatrix Potter, Alison Uttley, Dick Bruna, Kenneth Grahame have me quite convinced that it’s totally normal behaviour…
